| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 The pour is cloudy pale yellow, with only a white ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass for a head. Aroma was light, yeasty, lemon grassy. The flavor was bolder than the aroma led me to expect. However, the flavor is true to the aroma. There are additional flavors, sweet malts, some spice, maybe coriander. For an abbey tripel this is pretty light. an enjoyable beer. JustinFromAL (114), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Bottle. Pale gold in color with a bright nose. Unusually sweet and fruity, but not bad. The underlying alcohol flavor really compliments the bright citrus taste. I enjoyed this very much. halfonit (465), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Not too bad. Has a strong hoppy type of flavor with, what I believe to be, hints of caramel. It’s not too carbonated which I personally like. It’s a little pricey of a beer but I am definitely glad to have finally given it a go. Dastrn (115), Warsaw, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Pours light gold in color, a little cloudy, with a minimal head.
Smells of citrus, grass, and malts.
The flavor was much sweeter than is appropriate for the style. Tastes of spice, malt, honey, and hops are present.
The mouthfeel was appropriately carbonated, with a bite in the finish.
Overall I’m not terribly impressed. I expect a lot more out of anything that calls itself an abbey tripel. It was complex, but in the wrong ways. Maybe I’m being unfair, but I don’t expect a beer this sweet in this style. KyotoLefty (1424), Kyoto, Japan
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Deep golden color, highly effervescent, low head, turning quickly to lace. Cloudy. Aroma of Belgian yeast, golden malts, honey, yeast, citrus, alcohol, biscuits. Sweet flavor with lots of honey, butterscotch, alcohol, hops, citrus. Sweetish but decently balanced, quite complex, if not a little schizophrenic. guyinchicago (528), marengo, Illinois, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2008 Pours a golden hue with very little head. Aroma of cloves, allspice, and citrus with almost no trace of alcohol. Taste is a wonderful combination of sweet and sour. Crisp, clean finish. Good example of a Tripel. elihapa (1057), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Aroma of wheat, spices and hops. A little spice as well. Palate is smooth and lightly carbonated, and finishes long and a touch syrupy. Flavor is initially of wheat and flowers, slightly sweet. Mid palate is full of hops, caramel malt, and fruit. Finishing flavors are a delicious blend of spices and sweet fruit, reminding me of orange marmalade. Some sips also contained a touch of alcohol to boot. Overall, very enjoyable, I am really quite surprised. Good job victory!
