Aug 2, 2008 This is an excellent beer, reminiscent of strong Belgian abbey ales, despite its American roots. Dark amber color with a light cream-colored head. Very strong, with the accompanying alcohol taste, not to miss the nutty, caramel notes.

Aug 2, 2008 Aroma is standard for a Belgian beer, a mix of coriander, orange peel and other spices. Attractive orange color with white head. The flavor is spicy, malty, not overly sweet. the finish is dominated by the hops, and is very clean. Good beer all the way around. the alcohol is very well hidden also.

Aug 2, 2008 I loved this beer the first time that I had it. After the second or third time(not in the same day) it just had too much spice for me but it is an EXTREMELY flavorful beer.

Jul 30, 2008 All in all, this is a very tasty tripel. It pours golden with more sediment than a typical Belgian tripel. The taste was full bodied and really satisfying. The relatively high alcohol content was masked pretty well making this dangerously drinkable. Wish I had more...

Jul 27, 2008 12 oz. from a case. this is a regular at my house because it can go to the dinner table with almost anything. tonight it was poured with grilled whole sardines on pasta. last weekend we had it with little italian meatballs (polpettini).. the coriander makes it a perfect match with salmon, shrimp and crab cake.
my mouth is watering just writing this....
color is more copper than golden, with a spicy, slightly estery aroma. citrus peel and fruit flavors with a lingering dry (!) sugar ’n’ spice finish.

Jul 26, 2008 From bottle… poured extremely pale with pillowy white head that held on for a couple Aroma just wasn’t there – a hint of alcohol, but not much else. Flavor was spicy but with an undesirablely slimy aftertaste. Finished very warm in my tummy. Not my thing/style.
