Commercial Description:
Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

I don’t have a trappist glass, so a snifter will have to do! There’s not much head on this one anyway, so it works. A hazy yellow. Definitely fits the abbey style so kudos there. A bit sweet though. Strong notes of cloves and cinnamon. Not much hop bitterness, but you can definitely taste the alcohol in this one. Also a bit grainy. Heavy, smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation. I find that I usually enjoy the taste much more than the arouma of these tripples. I like!

Bottle from coldbrewky, rock on my friend. Fluffy white head recedes quickly atop this hazy golden brew. At first whiff I pick up notes of fruit and spice. Right off the bat it tastes smooth; light fruit up front and then enter the spice and a hint of alcohol to finish it off. Viel Dank mein lieber Freund!

Poured from bottle into a snifter. Poured a very rich, hazy orange with a billowing foamy head. After the head subsided, a 1/4 inch head remained with nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas with some Belgian yeast funkiness. More bananas, with peppery spice, sugary sweetness and a nice amount of hops (not too much or too little). Can’t taste the alcohol. Side note - Why do Tripels taste kind of like extreme Hefeweizens, just without the wheatiness? Pretty carbonated, but also very smooth with a rich mouthfeel. This is 9.5%? Wow, that’s scary.

I thought this was a very week pale ale at first, but after checking here it was a poor abbey tripel. Not to hate to bad, I did drink it all, but was expecting something closer to other tripels.

First smell I pick up is of pale straw malt. Then I get the peppery hay smell of a Saison. No hop aroma but there is a weird metallic smell Pours a big 2 finger white head. Body is golden yellow in color with lots of bubbles rising. Lacing is average and head retention is decent but nothing special especially for a Belgian style beer Taste is pretty spicy, mostly pepper. There is a bit of alcohol detected that adds a warming effect. Malt has a hay taste to it and yeast adds a taste of sour apple to it. After taste has a bit of astringency Beer is light and well carbonated.on the palate. Head retention isnt good enough to add any creaminess to beer. Finish is a bit dry. This is above average but not the best from this style. Most tripels I’ve had were highly drink able and light but this one was rough around the edges. It’s a decent beer but nowhere near the top in it’s style

This is a very well crafted triple, but maybe I’m going off this style of beer, I think I find them too sweet. Pours out a deep yellow, no head & quite lively conditioning. Nice and rich body, malt & nice honey sweetness, good balance overall & good flavour but I don’t think the conditioning was spot on & slightly lacking in complexity for me to give it higher scores.

Bottle. Cloudy light golden color with big fluffy head. Aroma is funky with cloves, yeast, apple, orange and banana. Flavors of clove, candi sugar, shoe leather, oregano, orange, yeast. Salty. nice full body. warming alcohol. Interesting. There should be herb in this.
