Jun 16, 2008 Big 750ml bottle, poured golden yellow, with no head. Very strong aroma of sweet malt, fruit (apples and pear), spices, and alcohol. Taste is sweet, quite like apple cider, slightly tart, with a finish of alcohol, but no burn. Body is medium, mostly clear, but a bit murky, with light carbonation. A VERY good American version of a tripel. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Jun 16, 2008 Poured clear and golden. A sweet citrus arouma. The flavour is more alcoholic than I like. Full bodied.

Jun 15, 2008 pours foamy yellow. nice malty aroma with slight spicy notes. flavor is very mild, with those same spicy notes. does not seem like a 9.5% beer.

Jun 13, 2008 I will certainly buy this one again. Delicious, fruity, spicey, sweet. Very slight taste of alcohol, but so little, I wouldn’t have guessed 9.5%. A great brew from Victory.

Jun 13, 2008 ~Pours a light orange cloudy color with lots of carbonation and a small off white head.
~Sweet aroma of coriander, spice, fruits, and hops.
~A tart and sweet cider like flavor with spices and malts. Alcohol taste mildly present.
~ Medium feel, a bit sticky and tart.
~ Normally I don’t care for these sweet beers, but this one is nice. Really not too sweet. A bit refreshing. I’m looking forward to trying it when it warms up a bit.

Jun 12, 2008 pours gold with a large off-white head that lingers a few minutes. nose of banana, honey, light fruit, and lots of spices...clove and cinnamon with some other ones in there that I can’t pick out. flavor is full of grape and banana and nectarine, with a full herbal backing and a dry, warm, somewhat bitter finish. The alcohol warms but doesn’t jump out at you. The spices linger in your mouth for a while. Very enjoyable.

Jun 12, 2008 This beer is quite sweet with some fruitiness-grape and banana. Fairly yeasty as well, giving it some spunk, unfortunately this spunk is so-so with a gross spicy medicine-like character. Alcohol is quite noticeable as well.

Jun 10, 2008 The first two Golden Monkeys I had I described as "Liquid Candy", but I was already wasted. I had one two days later and I described it as "Cough Syrup." I’m not quite sure what happened in my mouth, but I don’t want it to happen again.
