Commercial Description:
Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

~Pours a light orange cloudy color with lots of carbonation and a small off white head. ~Sweet aroma of coriander, spice, fruits, and hops. ~A tart and sweet cider like flavor with spices and malts. Alcohol taste mildly present. ~ Medium feel, a bit sticky and tart. ~ Normally I don’t care for these sweet beers, but this one is nice. Really not too sweet. A bit refreshing. I’m looking forward to trying it when it warms up a bit.

pours gold with a large off-white head that lingers a few minutes. nose of banana, honey, light fruit, and lots of spices...clove and cinnamon with some other ones in there that I can’t pick out. flavor is full of grape and banana and nectarine, with a full herbal backing and a dry, warm, somewhat bitter finish. The alcohol warms but doesn’t jump out at you. The spices linger in your mouth for a while. Very enjoyable.

This beer is quite sweet with some fruitiness-grape and banana. Fairly yeasty as well, giving it some spunk, unfortunately this spunk is so-so with a gross spicy medicine-like character. Alcohol is quite noticeable as well.

The first two Golden Monkeys I had I described as "Liquid Candy", but I was already wasted. I had one two days later and I described it as "Cough Syrup." I’m not quite sure what happened in my mouth, but I don’t want it to happen again.

Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours golden with thin white head. The aroma is sweet with sweet honey and some malt sweetness. It then goes to light colored fruitiness mixing with sweet dark grapes and pale malts. Interesting. The taste starts fresher and lighter than the nose led onto. Sweetness mixes with carbonation aided fruit and spice tartness along with some what of a peppery kick. The taste comes together nicely with distinctive Belgian yeast influence.

Poured a hazy golden yellow with little to no head. What head there was disappeard fairly quickly. There was a slightly sweet aroma and hints of a citrus scent. The initial taste was sweet then a little spicy toward the finish.

12oz bottle. Clouded golden in color. Head remains, but quite small. Spice and citrus-orange aroma. Medium palate, good carbonation at first, notes of honey, orange, and caramel. Spicy sweet finish with soothing alcohol lingering. Drink this pretty cold, as FlyFishingBob mentioned, it does take on a cough syrup taste when warm.
