| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2008 I bought this beer for sitting on my porch and enjoying. It is enjoyable, if I’m only having one. It smelled like many spice laden tripels of it’s style and poured a nice golden color. THe spice was too overpowering and I could only drink all of one. After starting the second one, I wanted to puke. But I would recomend this for tastings and other similair events because it is a very intriguing beer. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a one finger white head that fades leaving some lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt, citrus, yeast, spices, banana, and floral hops. Taste is banana, spicy yeast, pilsner malt, citrus, and black pepper. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and a spicy dry finish. Alcohol is very well hidden. Very good. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 8, 2008 Cloudy straw yellow, big bubbly white head. Very spicey aromatic nose-- cardamom pods and orange peel and rose water. Light and spicey, a little yeasty, a little estery, almost juicy. Crazy that you can’t detect the 10% ABV! Dangerously drinkable triple-- awesome! DrnkMcDermott (1864), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2008 Guest tap tulip at Flossmoor Station. I’ve got a 2002 bottle from trade in my cellar, but here’s a chance to try it fresh on tap: Cloudy yellow overlay on a golden pils type body. Stiff white head with yellow flecks. Sweet, alcoholic smell with a comforting malt backing. Taste starts with bitter orange peel, some wit spices like coriander and grains of paradise, but all in good harmony. taste is not quite as sweet as the smell, or as a Tripel would expect to taste. Some slight weizen esters. Light on hops, which is a good thing for my scratchy throat right now. Slight bubblegum finish. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy pale straw colour with no head and a small ring of foam. Smells typically tripel-ish, a bit yeasty. Tastes good at first, but deflates quickly after the sip into an almost wit-like taste, with faint stale hops. Thin body with good carbonation. Perhaps I had an off bottle, but this was not what I was expecting. Still, interesting. Thanks to Ughsmash for the bottle! jbuzz (664), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | May 2, 2008 I really didn’t like this, very pale color an almost bionic active head that disappeared as fast as it built up. Stronger Spice than i like. Clove and anise?
From the other ratings I see here I almost wonder if I got a “bad” bottle.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 1, 2008 Incredible.
Pours a clean gold with a large, frothy head that lingers for a while (and laces very well). The aroma is immediately banana and citrus with prominent notes of malt, hops, alcohol, and fruit.
The flavor is every bit as complex as the aroma would lead one to believe but the biggest players here are the citrus and hops. The finish has a apparent alcohol, but not so much as to unpleasant at all. The finish is very dry and clean (owing to the hops and carbonation).
An excellent beer, and excellent tripel, and something definitely worth trying...over and over!
