| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Clove, spice, sweet apple and liquorice nose. Deep golden, slight haze. Sweetness is balanced by the spice and bitterness. Solid body with good alcohol cutting through. One of the better American Abbey-Style beers available. BrewmeisterEd (59), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2008 poured the color of a true pilsner with a bit of haze (too little to call cloudy though the label indicated it was bottle conditioned). Taste reminded me a lot of Stella Artois with an alcoholic bite. Yeasty too - in a positive way. Not bad, just not my favorite style. amateurBeerfan (24), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Golden yellow color with hints of spices. Not one of my favorites from Victory. Is a good strong beer with an alcohol content of 9.5, yet is crisp and not too harsh. The aftertaste reminded me of bacon though. wondrtim (19), Lakewood, Washington, USA

Find the golden monkey, walk out of the store, if you are caught by the clerk you must give him money, if you do not have money you will be taken out of the store and sent to jail where your partner will have to continue the quest for you. If you can make it back, you will win Legends of the Hidden Temple and you will be rewarded with this great beer. This beer really was good, it had a hint of honey to it and I loved it. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Pours a hazy light gold in color. Plenty of haze and some yeasty chunks suspended in the glass. Smell is belgian yeast a good amount of spice there to help. The belgian yeast, not surprisingly, is dominating. Very smooth and easy drinking. Packs a hefty punch thanks to the ABV. Decent beer to have once in a while. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Bright gold color, but without a lot of noticeable aroma anywhere to speak of. A lot of flavor chunks which is to be expected. Very smooth drinkable beer. Didn’t think the alcohol content was so high, could hardly find any. Good overall
