Commercial Description:
Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

Victory’s Golden Monkey is excellent! It is strong, complex, and has a nice warming feeling.

Clove, spice, sweet apple and liquorice nose. Deep golden, slight haze. Sweetness is balanced by the spice and bitterness. Solid body with good alcohol cutting through. One of the better American Abbey-Style beers available.

poured the color of a true pilsner with a bit of haze (too little to call cloudy though the label indicated it was bottle conditioned). Taste reminded me a lot of Stella Artois with an alcoholic bite. Yeasty too - in a positive way. Not bad, just not my favorite style.

Golden yellow color with hints of spices. Not one of my favorites from Victory. Is a good strong beer with an alcohol content of 9.5, yet is crisp and not too harsh. The aftertaste reminded me of bacon though.

bottle has a born on date of May 22, 07. Here it is Feb ’08. Pours a cloudy yellow almost orange color, no head. . smell of orange peel spice, lite alchohol, a little yeast. taste of bread and banana with some alchohol notes. seems to be pretty smooth and deffinetly crisp.

Go into the car, down the street, turn at the corner, and go into the distributor. Find the golden monkey, walk out of the store, if you are caught by the clerk you must give him money, if you do not have money you will be taken out of the store and sent to jail where your partner will have to continue the quest for you. If you can make it back, you will win Legends of the Hidden Temple and you will be rewarded with this great beer. This beer really was good, it had a hint of honey to it and I loved it.

Pours a hazy light gold in color. Plenty of haze and some yeasty chunks suspended in the glass. Smell is belgian yeast a good amount of spice there to help. The belgian yeast, not surprisingly, is dominating. Very smooth and easy drinking. Packs a hefty punch thanks to the ABV. Decent beer to have once in a while.

Bright gold color, but without a lot of noticeable aroma anywhere to speak of. A lot of flavor chunks which is to be expected. Very smooth drinkable beer. Didn’t think the alcohol content was so high, could hardly find any. Good overall
