| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2006 After the cork pop, a channel of foam crawls up the neck of the bottle encouraging a quick pour and an immense head in my glass. This head settles rather quickly over a very attractive, light-hazed vermillion body with deep red lowlights. Caramel chewiness is detected in the nose with tangerine citrus, raisin, big alcohol and an intriguing yeast strain that is spicy, sour and sweet at once. Fluffy yet thinly syruped, fruity malts and vinous alcohol turn to whisky with a lick of salt in a dry finish. Entertaining.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Courtesy of Pailhead. Hazy copper with tan film for head. Aroma very yeasty, with tons of fruit, (apple, pear, white grape) with a floral hop backgorund, somewhat spicy. Flavor again fruity esters, mostly apple and pear, with floral hops and some spice in the finish. Struggled to bump this score up, it’s too one-dimensional though, with all the fruit. Good brew nonetheless. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
