Had a hard time explaining to a couple people that not all beer that sits around for a year or three gets "skunked". As for this one. Excellent pour with a deep amber nearly copper color. Slight syrup with spices and fruits. Perfect for holiday dinner. SDbruboy (1833), San Diego, California, USA

Poured a mostly clear copper-rouge color with a fluffy white head. (note, this one begin to bubble and foam up out of the bottle as soon as I opened it) Aroma is fruity with peach and plum, a little citrus and a light spicy yeastiness. Rich spicy fruity malts open the flavor, yeasty spice cake doused with grand marnier and a bit of pepper in the finish. Smooth, full body and easy carbonation. Quite nice! beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Aged two years from bottling date. Hazy reddish amber with small diminishing white head with fair lacing. Succulent aroma bouquet of fruity esters, raisin and toffee. Soft carbonation. Full bodied that starts with fruity, sour/sweet flavor of raison, toffee and some sharpness. Finished dry with lingering sourness. Deeply satisfying Belgium-style ale, one of the best that I’ve had thus far. Delicious aroma lingered for a very long time and it was tough to put down the glass. beerbuzzmontreal (2931), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Very good flavor of candy, fruits and yeast with a sweet and yeasty finish. The body is light with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Very good, it feels like candy on top of a yeasty fruit cake. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Unimpressive, slightly sour taste, weak body, boozy grapefruit, might be OK with the right food, but not much by itself. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2005 A strong hint of sourness if I recall correctly. Vinous and acidic notes mix (but not particularly well) with raisins, toffee, and lots of slightly funky yeasty flavors. Apart from Golden Monkey I have never been particularly enamored of Victory’s Belgians and this is not an exception. Big head, diminshing, on top of a cloudy reddish-dirt-brown body. Slightly overcarbonated for my taste. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA

Citrusy aroma, yeastly flavors, citrusy and alcoholic. Strong hop presence middle-late. Bitterness to finish. Spritzy, thin, dry mouthfeel. DYCSoccer17 (2201), Davis, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2005 Bottled on 5/15/03. Citrusy orange-like aroma with hints of bubblegum and a bit of booziness in the nose. There are also floral and spiced undertones as well. Pours a pretty hazy copper/orange color with a nice long lasting off-yellow head. Starts citrusy with orange and grapefruit flavors dominating. This turns dry, grainy, and malty to finish. Wow, this stuff is very dry and pretty boring.
