Quarter inch, lasting cap leaves behind creamy frosting. Aromas of orange peel, banana, papaya, peppery resin and earthy yeast. Flavors of clove-banana, papaya, brown sugar, pear and apple are well-checked by peppery citrus zest, light oak and some evergreen resin. Light-medium body is soft but has some spice-hop tingle and finishes dry. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The aroma was sweet apples and leather. There was also a little spice hint, maybe cinnamon. The taste was sweet cake donuts with some pears. There was also a nice woody dryness. A decent brew, but overall a little boring. ucusty (1892), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Not a great saison for aging, evidently, but the style is suitable for aging, so it’s still ratable. Pours a cloudy caramel amber with lots of floaties and no head. Big weird yeasty nose--oranges, mold, wet grass. Fizzy medium body. Virtually neutral mid-palate, totally empty finish. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Bottle shared by theisti. Pours a golden-amber with a thin white skin and spotty lace. The nose is of sweet citrus, pears and candy sugar with a nice Belgian yeast note in support. Light to medium-bodied and slick with tongue-tickling carbonation and a clean fruity finish. The flavor follows the nose yielding a very straight-forward and drinkable saison. Thanks for sharing this with us, Tim. :) theisti (1674), Leawood, Kansas, USA
