Yeasty, fruity aroma with light hops and spices. Citrusy, spicy yeast flavour with a tart bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, one of the better Saisons I’ve had.

Jan 1, 2007 Updated: Sep 21, 2009’05 Vintage: Pours very hazy/murky straw yellow with a thick frothy head. Citric fruit, doughy yeast, and light wine like alcoholic presence in the aroma. Flavors are also remniscent of white wine, citric qualities of a pinot grigio but with more fruit (citric and hints of some tropical) upfront and a bit tart. Yeast is more reserved than expected, but still very present and spicy. Alcohol is not evident at all untill it warms a bit, but not offending at all. Palate is lightly spiced, sharply effervescent, with nice tart fruit all the way through the long finish. Very enjoyable, complex and well-balanced, slighty too much carbonation though.

Dec 29, 2006 Beautiful hazy yellow appearance. Flavor is of light, sweet fruit and yeast. A little bit tart, but not so much that it detracts from the subtle yet robust flavors. Yet another reason why Victory is one of the best brewers in the world.

Dec 28, 2006 Bottle, at Kookfest, September 2006. Hazy orange colour, rather sludgy appearance. Quite perfumed and heavily spicy, with vanilla much in evidence. Distinctly fruity and somewhat yeasty on the palate. Like many US saisons I found this to be rather cleaner than many of the Belgian saisons I enjoy, but undoubtedly a refined and enjoyable beer.

Flavour brings to mind a slightly lesser Dupont - spice, wheat, yeast & herbs. A bit of pineapple in there as well, with a nice tart finish. Pretty decent stuff.

Dec 24, 2006 Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and mabel - mabel’s bottle. Cloudy gold with suspended particles, and a decent foamy white head. Deep funky spice/yeast aroma; dry, with wood resin - ultimately very sweet. The taste was quite mild - soft spice and grain, a hint of fresh tropical fruits and alcohol mixing in the finish. Average body, only mildly carbonated, the finish was very quick and not too boozy at all - nice, quite drinkable, not awesome but quite solid.

Dec 23, 2006 Shared a bottle of this stuff with my brother a my father. Has a quick descending head and it has a cloudy body that is very clearly unfiltered... with a sort of yellow-orange color. Tastes pretty swell with a sort of fruity, citusy taste going for it. No alcohol aftertaste at all though. Definately gets better as it warms up, but overall, it is a good beer through and through.

Dec 22, 2006 Hazy pastel yellow, small white head. Mildly yeasty aroma, prominent alcohol and light notes of tropical fruit. Flavour starts a touch sweet, fleeting dry fruit, pineapple, alcohol in the finish cuts the sweetness. Average palate. Pretty decent saison. 6+/3/7/3/15
