Commercial Description:
The radiant energy of the sun gives life to all that we enjoy. Flowing field of barley for malting, surging vines of ripening hops and even pure, clean water owe their vitality to the sun. Just as we do. So in crafting this unique, hazy orange-hued ale, we poured in nature’s great gifts of German malts and European hops to feed the dynamic yeast that we imported from Belgium. Here in the quiet tanks of Victory our yeast brought vitality to this Belgian style farmhouse ale. That energy has created impressions that range from lemon peel to black pepper, though such spices are not added. Great with a wide array of foods, count on the bright soul of Helios Ale to bring life to all of your meals!

Bottled. Yellew coloured. Unclear. Dense white head. Sweetness and fruits are dominant in the aroma, but a yeasty sourness is laying in the background. Is quite bland. Flavour is sweet grapish and perfumed. Fruity and yeasty notes. Medium bodied. Dry mouthfeel. ENds on a citric and grapish note.

Bottle. Quite authentically Belgian. Yeasty, peppery, spicy, with some light alcohol warmth. Soft carbonation on the tongue, with some bitter citrus in the finish. Probably a little more clean and uniform in flavour than other saisons i’ve had, but thats not to say its bad, its quite pleasant.

This is a great Saison especially considering it is brewed in Downingtown, PA. Wonderful mouthfeel, just enough spice and sweetness. Many American craft brewers over emphasize the "spice" in a Saison but this is not one of them. This is a brew I could sit back and enjoy with no criticism.

Fluffy foam...cloudy mango-like color...foam dissipates quickly...unbalanced mouthfeel, yet so intriguing...I keep sipping and sipping trying to get it...getting the zest, however what sort of zest is this? A muddled pineapple nose...pineapple upsidown cake that is...a sour finish

Pours with a golden body topped by a thick, white head wtih little lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a grassy hop note and a slight yestiness. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

From a 750ml at the victory brewery. Cloudy golden yellow with tiny champagne like bubbles running up the side of the snifter. Nice head, didn’t notice the lacing. Smells of bread. Loved the taste of the yeast in this one, and the tiny bubbles. Tasted almost like a wheat beer, with an alcohol kick.

Bottle @ Kookfest. Spicy yeast and pale malty flavours with some fruit. Easily drinkable but not a huge amount of character.
