Commercial Description:
The radiant energy of the sun gives life to all that we enjoy. Flowing field of barley for malting, surging vines of ripening hops and even pure, clean water owe their vitality to the sun. Just as we do. So in crafting this unique, hazy orange-hued ale, we poured in nature’s great gifts of German malts and European hops to feed the dynamic yeast that we imported from Belgium. Here in the quiet tanks of Victory our yeast brought vitality to this Belgian style farmhouse ale. That energy has created impressions that range from lemon peel to black pepper, though such spices are not added. Great with a wide array of foods, count on the bright soul of Helios Ale to bring life to all of your meals!

Pours golden and lightly hazy with a thin wispy off-white head. Notes of coriander, chamomile, lemomgrass, and white grape. Full bodied with lively carbonation. Yum.

Pours a hazy orangish-amber with a quickly dissapating white head. Earthy farmhouse hay combines with a citrusy element in the aroma. Tart fruitiness, a hint sour with a complement of spices. Well carbonated body delivers a dry biting finish. A decent stab at a saison.

Poured a hazy gold with pretty big white head, pretty carbonated, putting my nose up to the glass was just a citrusy explosion in my nose. aroma of lemons and oranges, with some floral hops and mild spices, with a dry semi bitter finish.

Draft at 2009 GABF. Pours a thin white head, with slight lacing, over a clear, pale yellow, (SRM 2-3) body.....nose has all the mild spices, including bits of ginger, clove, cinnamon, some citrus primarily lemon.....taste initially is sweet malt, leading to the spices mentioned, with a citrus finish.....mouth feel is light as is carbonation. This is a nice but not overwhelmingly so, example of the style.

Ah the final beer on the final evening of summer and it’s extremely fitting, a wonderful complex saison in all aspects. Smells of tart lemon, sour citrus and peppery spice with a great earthy yeast aroma. Hazy golden yellow color, huge slowly settling head and a thick coating of lacing. Feels light and snappy with a refreshing affect and a warm bitter bite. Flavors of lemon, lime, orange and a splash of peach. The fruits are mildly tart and teetering on a touch sour. Strong notes of biscuit and hay with a generous addition of spicy European hops. Plenty of great qualities in this brew.

on tap Memphis Taproom - deep golden pour, white fluffy head. Aroma of citrus and spices. Flavor is crisp and refreshing - some definite notes of lemon peel and spicy pepper. Really enjoyable saison.

Has a pale yellowish orange color with high carbonation, looks very lively. Smells like lemon and wheat, with a strange medicine like hint. Up front it’s spicy with some peppery notes and stale lemon bitterness. The backbone is grassy and earthy with a touch of orange. It feels lighter then 7.5%. I think I would enjoy this more on a nice day outdoors accompanied with the right plate, like eggs or fish.

On tap at Victory. Poured a rich gold color with a white foam head, some lacing. Yeast and wheat with some odd funk. Slightly sweet earthy texture with some citrus zest. Bit of a dry finish.
