Commercial Description:
The radiant energy of the sun gives life to all that we enjoy. Flowing field of barley for malting, surging vines of ripening hops and even pure, clean water owe their vitality to the sun. Just as we do. So in crafting this unique, hazy orange-hued ale, we poured in nature’s great gifts of German malts and European hops to feed the dynamic yeast that we imported from Belgium. Here in the quiet tanks of Victory our yeast brought vitality to this Belgian style farmhouse ale. That energy has created impressions that range from lemon peel to black pepper, though such spices are not added. Great with a wide array of foods, count on the bright soul of Helios Ale to bring life to all of your meals!

An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet spicy - especially coriander coming thru. The flavor is sweet malty and spicy - again coriander being most dominant.

Bottle 75cl. [ As Victory V Saison ].
Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity - mango, light to moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, barnyard, leather, alcohol, light strawberry notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration, a light peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is quite nectary sweet along with some earthy and mildly sourish notes. Flavour is quite dry with tonguetickling carbonation. Rather lively beer., Flavour is quite citrusfruity and earthy with hints of heerbs.

Cloudy straw colour. Dusty, spicy (anise), fruity (pear) aroma. Spicy flavour of hay, fresh bread, peach and pear, yeast (old barn) and a big rock after the rain. It’s fairly relaxed and unassertive about all of this. It’s confident and pretty and all that white picket fence stuff. That’s the main flaw, really. All the cool saisons evoke things that don’t make sense, so it’s got that, but it lacks the rusticity of the best examples. A great intro saison but I prefer more esoteric examples.

(750ml bottle, bottled 4/1/05) Big white head atop a cloudy straw body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pear, some hay/herbal, chalky. Taste is moderately sweet, herbal, pear/peach, light grassy. Some alcohol warming in the finish. Some stickiness, medium-full body, with some creaminess showing up as it approaches room temperature.
