Medium body, some strange unclean caramel notes - toffee or bonbons - and fairly metallic. Rather hoppy finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2009 On tap at Verdugo in LA: Pours a transparent bright golden with an airy, frothy white head. Aroma of semi-sweet pale malt and lots of herbal grassy noble hops. Body is similar to the nose with a ton of real earthy herbal hops, maybe something like Tettnang, and a touch of biscuity malt before a drier, crisp bittersweet finish. This doesn’t real seem like an IPA, but more like a hoppy Belgian ale with European hops. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
