Aroma is of pine. Smells like a god damn forest jizzed in my beer.
tastes is perfect. alcohol is well hidden, but still warms the cheeks a little, carbonation is perfect, nice and bubbly and light, which makes this a high abv beer that is extremely drinkable.
It is loaded with hops, but isnt too bitter, its well balanced, you still get that bitterness from the hops, but the subtitles of the citrus and pine are very visible.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours a beautiful orange with a thin white head. Great lacing. Aroma is sweet hops and sweet malt. Notes of grapefruit, bread, caramel, grass, pine, orange, and other citrus fruits come out. The flavor is strong of hopsadswet malts. Thhe finish is crisp and bittter, exactly like one would expectfrom an IPA. For a douple IPA, this beer was a slight let down, but I still eennjoyed it. It just seems like it may be classified wrong. zizzybalubba (371), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | May 3, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine. Pours orange with a white head. The appearance is very inticing. The aroma, however, is very similar to a recent bottle I tried of Victory’s Hop Devil; a strange V-8 aroma. The hops are spicy in this one, not bitter at all. The hop flavor is better than the aroma which I did not experience in the Hop Devil. Not a bad DIPA but I prefer mine brutally bitter. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | May 2, 2009 The aroma is pleasant with lots of citrus and pine hops as well as bread and caramel. The appearance is hazy gold with a small head. The flavor is a mess of astringent grassy hops with turpentine and grapefruit with some sweet malt but no balance. The palate is smooth. Overall a real hop bomb that does not impress. Fin (3420), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Bottle from Real Ale Ltd, cheers Duff, consumed the same day as I received the package 29-04-09 Pours mid gold, a little hazy, with a white head that swiftly departed. This had a really streaky citrus, ’grapefruit’? theme running throughout but with a nice honey sweetness. Quite a thick beer in the mouth with a nice gentle fizzy hoppiness sending little bubble hop bombs around the whole mouth. The bitterness and sweetness continue to zip around the tongue and roof of mouth, its a very nice beer. A7 A3 F8 P4 Ov15 3.7 41cubs (140), , New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Pours yellow with a drop of orange food coloring and a tight white head. Smell is yeasty and just a hint of hoppy bitterness and green leaf aroma. The taste is not bad but in no way reminds me of a DIPA. It’s almost like the hops are present in a muted way and what comes through is mostly bread and straw with only a moderately bitter finish. The 8.5 is not at all intrusive with this beer. Mouthfeel is very satisfying in that it has a silky texture due to the carbonation level but overall nothing exeptional. Decent beer that reminds of a DIPA only when the lips smack of stickiness when you finish the beer. Sorry Victory. 2008 12 oz. DerWeg (760), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Great name! Bottle pours a nice thick substantial orangey-gold. Aroma faint hay yeast citrus and alcohol. Taste warm alcohol feel, good bite of dry tasty hops over a thickish base of pale malt that is lightly sweet and carries the hops well. Fruit character is faint. Good, and my second-ever DIPA. bbrock81 (221), Le Mars, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Pours a clouded orange/yellow with little head. Aroma is somewhat muted, giving up generic hop bitterness, a bit piney, a bit of citrus, and some sweet malt underneath. Flavor is about the same, starting out with the hops, sweet malt in the midpalate, and then a longish, hoppy finish. The flavor is more interesting than the aroma.. Palate is average, with medium carbonation. Overall a decent enough beer, but not the best of the style by any means.
