Commercial Description:
Horace ‘Hop’ Wallop headed West a broken man. For it was a certain Miss LuLubelle Lager that had left him, thirsting for more. Drawn by wild tales of the riches of the gold mines, Hop pressed on westward. His last nickel spent on a prospecting pan, Hop's hunger and thirst got the best of him. Two fistfuls o' barley and three of some wild and wayward hops tossed in the pan with some clear water was to be his meal. But sleep overcame him and he woke to a bubbling, cacophonous concoction. Overjoyed with the beautiful ale that he had made, Hop realized the secret of the 'green gold' he had discovered in those fresh hops. Celebrated far and wide, Hop Wallop lives on in this vivid ale with his words, "hoppiness is happiness." As our annual homage to the fresh hop harvest, Hop Wallop is a fragrant experience that delights the tastebuds. Pure gold of color, this ale offers its heady bounty of hops to the adventurous of taste. Bold, bracing and surprisingly refreshing for a strong (8.5% a.b.v.) ale, Hop Wallop lives up to its name and legacy.

A really good offering from Victory - what else should you expect. Very hoppy, of course. Not perfect, but very fun.

Bright orange yellow hazy pour with a thin white head. Sweet honey and molasses on the nose with some hops. Very sweet with candy and molasses flavor. The sweetness was just overpowering for me. Very bitter finish with a good deal of alcohol.

12oz Bottle: Pours clear golden orange w/ a small white head. Aroma is citrusy hops...all hops. Flavor is sweet up front & then the hops kick in w/ a long bitter blast. Sticky grapefruity aftertaste that seems to last forever. Consumption leaves some nice lacing behind & the froth of the head never leaves. Solid brew, hoppy wholesome goodness here.

12oz bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with white head. Doesn’t look like a double but smell like one. Aroma is hops. Flavor is hops and seet fruits. Simple hoppy IIPA. Good stuff.

Pours a golden yellow with little head different then other IPAs I’ve tried. Aroma filled my nostrils with the smell of hops. Wow, taste amazing, very hoppy. Leaves hoppy sweet after taste, definitely one that I would drink more then one of.

Lots of hops in the aroma. Golden color and has a light taste compared to other IPAs. THe after taste is long and flavorful. Tastes good.

12 oz. bottle. Pours golden yellow with a white head, about a finger, leaving a bit of lacing. Nose is all hops, citrus and floral. Hop flavor isn’t "knock-your-socks-off" in your face, but rather subtle, which is quickly overtaken by a huge hop bitterness from the middle to and through the finish well into the after. Sticky and resiny. Somehow there’s enough malt for some balance, but not too much. Mouthfeel is good, lacing/head retention is nice. Good fruity quality throughout. There’s some odd taste to this beer, guess it’s the fresh earthiness of the fresh hops. good offering from Victory.

Not your typical IPA. Aroma is of a sugar filled peach and mild hops. Pours a clear pale orange color with a white head. A nice taste of sweet peach, apricot and hops. Very nicely balanced. Bitter finish. Would drink again.
