Commercial Description:
Horace ‘Hop’ Wallop headed West a broken man. For it was a certain Miss LuLubelle Lager that had left him, thirsting for more. Drawn by wild tales of the riches of the gold mines, Hop pressed on westward. His last nickel spent on a prospecting pan, Hop's hunger and thirst got the best of him. Two fistfuls o' barley and three of some wild and wayward hops tossed in the pan with some clear water was to be his meal. But sleep overcame him and he woke to a bubbling, cacophonous concoction. Overjoyed with the beautiful ale that he had made, Hop realized the secret of the 'green gold' he had discovered in those fresh hops. Celebrated far and wide, Hop Wallop lives on in this vivid ale with his words, "hoppiness is happiness." As our annual homage to the fresh hop harvest, Hop Wallop is a fragrant experience that delights the tastebuds. Pure gold of color, this ale offers its heady bounty of hops to the adventurous of taste. Bold, bracing and surprisingly refreshing for a strong (8.5% a.b.v.) ale, Hop Wallop lives up to its name and legacy.

12 oz bottle. Liked Hopdevil, so I figured this would be decent too. Pours a golden color with a nice half-finger high foamy off-white head that stays for quite a while. The smell is potent, full of hops, malt, maybe some pine. The taste is similar, with a big accent on the hops. I read in a different review that nectar is included, and I believe that may be true. Goes down fairly smoothly too. Overall a very interesting (and affordable) I-IPA.

This is a bold and hoppy IPA. This hits the right balance of hops and malts. It works for me and I usually don’t have great results from Victory beers.

Pours out a hazy darker golden color. Little white head on top. Mouthfeel is thin to medium with a crisp finish. Very hoppy taste, was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend this one.

Botle, pours a very clear amber with thich white head and lots of bubbles. Aroma, citrus. plain and simple. Taste, citrus is big but grapefruit prevails. Leaves a very bitter feel and the hops seemt to linger.

While the heading says Imperial IPA, for me this comes across more as a strong IPA with a nice citrus aroma to it with a tad bit more hops, giving it a somewhat stronger smooth to taste to these floral and citrus hops that fill the beer.

Poured golden yellow with long-lasting head. Lacing down the glass. Aroma is very inviting: all piney/fruity hops. Tastes of grapefruit, lemon; a little bit of pear in there too. Excellent winter sipper for anyone who loves hops.

Bottled. A light gold coloured beer with a lovely white head. A super hoppy aroma with citrus and pine notes. It sure draws you in. The taste is great citrussy bitter hops. Lemon and grapefruit to the fore. Good alcohol levels. Nice malt balancing backbone. Very drinkable and lovely.

pours golden yellow with a huge white head and quickly rising carbonation. Arouma of a wooded meadow and pile of freshly raked leaves. Caramel malts and flowers and grass. Not extremely bitter but obviously dry-hopped to an insane amount. Surprisingly, no alcohol in the taste.

Pours a clear golden color with a large, fluffy white head and thick lacing. Nose is entirely of hops, citrus and florals. The taste of hops is true to the aroma, with more floral hops backed with citrus and hints of pine. Dry and lingering finish. Didn’t notice any hints of the higher ABV at all
