Based on the tap it was a nice beer with lots of citrus hop. The color was nice and in general a really good beer. I think I do prefer the Hop Devil as the taste was a little more refined than this if that makes sense.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottled. A light gold coloured beer with a lovely white head. A super hoppy aroma with citrus and pine notes. It sure draws you in. The taste is great citrussy bitter hops. Lemon and grapefruit to the fore. Good alcohol levels. Nice malt balancing backbone. Very drinkable and lovely. zdk (251), New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2009 pours golden yellow with a huge white head and quickly rising carbonation. Arouma of a wooded meadow and pile of freshly raked leaves. Caramel malts and flowers and grass. Not extremely bitter but obviously dry-hopped to an insane amount. Surprisingly, no alcohol in the taste. TonyDiUlio (197), New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Pours a clear golden color with a large, fluffy white head and thick lacing. Nose is entirely of hops, citrus and florals. The taste of hops is true to the aroma, with more floral hops backed with citrus and hints of pine. Dry and lingering finish. Didn’t notice any hints of the higher ABV at all hirigalzkar (593), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Bottle. Boring, boring DIPA. Some nice sweet candy grape in the nose. The taste is nothing special at all. Sure hoppy but i want a little more malt/fruitiness/extreme hops in a DIPA for it to stand out among others. finol (519), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden

Very much what you expect for a DIPA from a hop head west coast brewery.
Lots of hops, oranges and slightly oily. mastabass666 (68), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2009 smells a little like a belgian triple, and malty and fruity, but not really hoppy, a bit of alcohol as well. pours a beautiful honey gold, nice persistent head and great lacing. flavor definitely has hops in it, but in a very unusual way. back of the mouth bitterness, as if you had just gnawed on some grapefruit rind. some nice fruitiness up front. actually, pretty interesting, it has many characteristics not found in other ipa’s or dipa’s. would never have guessed it was 8.5%abv. very creamy and full bodied as it warms up. sweet ders0 (16), , Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2009 22oz bomber. Citrusy aroma. Poured fairly golden with a nice head. Laced the glass nicely. Heavy bitterness and lots of hop flavors which is what I look for in a beer especially one of this style. I can’t get enough hops and this beer satisfies that craving. kwerikson (116), burlington, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2009 pours out a sunny gold with a very nice head that was very still. the body is a hazy bright oarnge. the aromas are citrusy and acidic. there is also a lot of pine in the nose with a lot of hop bitterness coming through. it is almost medium bodied with a strong yet very nice hop kick. it is citrusy and spicy . i taste a lot hops, lemon zest, pine oils, and hop resins. pretty strong on the palate, but not overpowering were it is undrinkable. a lot of flavor in this beer, and character. the atertaste is pretty dry and leaves an all hop aftertaste with just a little bit of malt backbone and sweetness.
