Commercial Description:
Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

Poured from my bottle into my glass the beer is dark orange. With little to no head. The aroma is strong hops a touch of ctirus and malt. The flavor is very nice. Not as hoppy as I thought it would be considering the menacing looking hop cartoon on the bottle. This beer seems to be balanced nicely with malt flavors and a major hop blast. The hop bitterness slaps your taste buds then the malt comes in and smooths things over. Perfect balance. Medium body with fairly mild carbonation. No real sticky hop after taste. This is a top notch IPA. I would highly reccamend this to all my friends.

Weird cat. Really fruity and sweet for the style, and not malty sweet, but almost sugary/lactose sweet. Still tasty, though. Basically I was hoping for more hoppage.

Reddish brown color with a huge rocky head. Earthy sugary malt aroma with slight hops. Head stays for a while and then produces some fine lacing. Flavor is very well balanced with a heavy dose of hops and malt. Carmel malt, sweetness balanced with citrus, piney, fruity hops. Strong full-bodied brew, but very drinkable. Also it’s very fresh. Just the way I like it.

Draft at Victory Brewing. Extremely balanced and drinkable, my favorite Victory beer by far.

Cask at the White Horse’s American Beer Festival 2009. An amber beer with a deep, almost heady, mushroom aroma. Full of earthy flavours and well-balanced but not terribly exciting.

Pours a pretty amber with a big white head. Delightful sweet hoppy aroma. Very good balance of hops and malts. I was expecting it to be slightly heavier on the hops, but I like it just the way it is.

Pours amber with a big offwhite head. Nose is pine. Taste sweet malt up front, with a great level of bitterness in the finish. A wonderful IPA.

On tap at Rattle ’N’ Hum: Pours a bright amber hue, aroma is like pure sugar, tastes are filled with simple notes of hops, caramel, and other earthy flavors that mellow out in the palatte. Very smooth finish. Balanced and simply good.
