Jun 3, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange with a medium, fluffy, white head. Medium body and aroma of hops and citrus. Tastes of hops, pine, citrus, peach, and cedar with a dry, bitter finish. Very good overall.

May 29, 2009 Bottle from Utobeer in London. Had this many times before on draught and in bottle. Pours a great deep amber colour. I love this beer, it obviously has hops in the taste but there is the wonderful sweet malt background that leaves you wanting more. I used to be able to buy this in my local Safeways about 6 years ago and it wasn’t even expensive. Not so easy to obtain now in the UK. One of my all time favourites.

May 27, 2009 Pours a little darker amber than the usual IPA with a decent fluffy white head. Aroma is caramel malts and vague American hops, tending toward the citrus rather than the pine. Taste is balanced much more toward the bitter rather than the taste of the hop, which isn’t my preference. There is a significant caramel malt presence, and it leaves a soapy taste in my mouth. The interplay between the hops and the malts is not altogether pleasant, leaving an odd sweet-tart taste in my mouth. To be fair, the best by date on this bottle is a couple of months past, but that was all they had when I found it on vacation. I imagine that it would have a much more pungent aroma fresh.

May 26, 2009 Botella. Hazy deep golden/orange colour. Aroma is sweet and hoppy with lots of fruits. Good mothfeel. The flavour is sweet with fruits (mainly peach), pine and caramel. Very pleasant well lasting dry fruity bitter hoppy finish.

May 21, 2009 On tap at the Big Hunt, Washington, DC. Dark copper pour, off-white head with decent lace. Resin citrus nose and flavor, nice bitter finish. Nicely done.

May 21, 2009 Draft. Pours a clear light brown, Smells amazing, of piny hops. Overwhelming hop flavor, spicy cedar, really nice palate- balances creamy carbonation with strong spicy hop bitter.
