| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Bottle in Monks Cafe, Philadelphia, 15-11-08 in the company of Loz, Casey and Traci. Pours mid amber with white head, although the gloomy light within this establishment makes it a bit tricky to be certain on colour. A sweet but very hoppy little number, good fresh green zingy, zappy hops exploding all around the mouth. This beer has a decent sweet maltiness, its a really nice beer but against the Dogfish head 60 Min which I tried it against I think the latter would just win out for me. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Got lots of hops on the nose, but there’s some funk in there too. Not sure if it’s pleasing or not. One of the darkest pours I’ve ever seen in a IPA. Lots of flavor and hopsness, it’s pretty damn aight. changeup45 (797), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Pours a copper-amber color into my Hampton Inn plastic cup while traveling, with a thick off-white head, great retention, and the beer laced really well. The hops are quite resiny with some citrus as well. I was surprised a little by the malt content here, they are cookie doughy and a bit bready and are certainly noticeable. Some bitterness but I didn’t think it had a real sharp bitterness to it. Something was just a little off and I can’t really put my finger on it but regardless this is a very good beer aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA

Aromas of mainly pine, resin, and some citrus notes. Flavor is again mainly hops with a malty backbone. Very drinkable IPA. Moggman (187), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2008 On tap. Pours a clear amber with a small, fluffy, white head. Bitter hops aroma, a bit herbal, with pine notes. Taste starts sharp and herbal then picks up a lot of bitter, pine hops. Lingering bitterness. Tasty and very drinkable. jeff789 (411), Pennsylvania, USA

Nothing quite like drinking a HopDevil at game 5 part 1 of the World Series... I only wish HopDevil had a bit less malt character...
