| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2008 On tap. Pours a clear amber with a small, fluffy, white head. Bitter hops aroma, a bit herbal, with pine notes. Taste starts sharp and herbal then picks up a lot of bitter, pine hops. Lingering bitterness. Tasty and very drinkable. jeff789 (422), Pennsylvania, USA

Nothing quite like drinking a HopDevil at game 5 part 1 of the World Series... I only wish HopDevil had a bit less malt character... JaBier (1264), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber with a 1/2 inch off-white head. Aroma of huge hops with a sweet malt balance. Flavor is pretty much the same. Remember this having a bigger bite the last time. Maybe the bottle had been sitting around for a bit. Still a good brew. 1010 (212), Marysville, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange with no head. This beer is aptly named because it does have a lot of hops. It has a very strong taste, however not overwhelming. A solid IPA.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 29, 2008 One of the most consistent IPA’s. Well balanced like the Stone IPA but more interesting. A wonderful floral aroma. Very drinkable. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a very full frothy beige head that has good retention and produces very nice lacing. Aroma is very potent. I can smell it from almost an arms length away. There is a definite pine and citrus theme with these hops. I also can smell the malt fighting it’s way through the very overwhelming hop presence. Flavor is very strange. It’s not as hop forward as you would think. There is a definite spice presence and almost a bit of yeast in there as well. It reminds me of walking through a brewery while they are brewing. It’s very nice. Very different. buzzoven (333), Japan
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2008 The beautiful mahogany (almost red) shade abd floral hoppy nose made me ready to dive in to this one, but I was a bit surprised in the overall product. Flavour is very grassy, seedy, in fact, could have passed for a Wheat Ale. There are elements of hickory, wood chips, campfire, sunflower seeds, and beef jerky. Finish was very dry, roasted, and bitter. Victory manages to add a bit of a spice element to many of their brews and this one was no exception...feeling some tangy citrus in there as well and just a touch of honey and strawberry jam. Not sure I am a fan of this one but it was fun to try. Bottle from Tanakaya...around 700 yen--sheesh! Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Dark amber pour with a medium sized off white head. The power is in the spices here, big spicy flavor right up front fading to a hoppy finish in the back end. Also one of the best smelling IPAs I’ve ever had. Winner all around.
