Bottle pours to amber body with minimal head. Tastes is bitter and dry with a kick of spice similar to what you would expect. swiseman (210), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber/orange color with a small off white head. Had a very hoppy and fruity aroma. Had a nice lace that dissipated quickly and a good bite to the taste. Appearance 2 finger off white head, deep red-orange amber hazy body, foamy carbonation, good lacing
Flavor characteristic hop bitterness is immaculately balanced with floral malt sweetness; much more depth than the average IPA
Palate excellent warming character, medium thickness, lingers and tempts you to to have some more
Overall wonderful drink alone or with a hearty meal, I cant imagine liking too many IPAs better than this one, and Im pretty darn fond of IPAs

Aroma is straight up hops, mostly pine but some pineapple fruitiness in the back. A small amount of caramel malt aswell. Flavor starts out with a spicy bite that tickles the tongue and leads the way for a hop kick mid swallow that brings a refreshing bitterness. Finishes sweet and pretty smooth considering the intensity of the hop oils that were just present. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Nice IPA, well rounded with sweet and bitter but with a definite kick of spice. simpleman76 (4), North Carolina, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 22, 2008 I’d have to say this is probably my all time favorite beer! This is where the hops are. It’s not easily accessible for me, being that I’d have to drive 1.5 hours to pick up some of this tasty brew. To me, it’s just a very complex brew, but done right! Lots of aroma and various levels of bittering hops. I hesitate to say it but it is almost too hoppy for me. There is a nice malty backbone to the beer though and it does come through.
