Citrus hops and full-bodied caramel malt sweetness. Good balance here, very flavorful, yet drinkable and enjoyable. Menacingly delicious - perfect description.

Pours a reddish/copper color in the glass with a copper toned head of medium build, leaving a lovely lacing on the sides. Smells intensely of hops, citrus and pungent oily florals. Some malt detectable. Tastes of thick hops up front and ends on an intensely hopped bitter note. Tasty.

12oz bottle. Pours a golden amber with a moderate white head. Aroma of hops with hints of fruit. Spicy, bitter hops flavors dominate. A balanced and tasty brew.

12 ox bottle. Pours a nice amber color with a yellowish head. Intense hop smell, absolutely love it. Not too strong of hops at first then has a nice kick once you swallow it. Very satisfiying on the palate, esp since i really enjoy I.P.A.s. I agree with the commercial description, it does have a full-bodied lasting finish. Overall a really great beer, highly recommended for hopheads anywhere. Just wish it was as strong as Victory’s golden monkey! haha

GBBF 08. Amber in colour, pretty still. Classic American hop aroma. Light toffee malt flavour at the start of the sip and then lots of drying hops. Very smooth and drinkable. A restrained and enjoyable IPA.

Clear copper color, white head. Sweet malty, herbal hoppy and some oxidized cheezy scent. Malty sweet, roasted, herbal bitter hoppy taste. Sweet and roasted aftertaste. Nice afterbitterness. Medium to spritzy mouthfeel. Medium high bitterness. Quite fresh, but a bit too harsh bitterness for my taste.

12 oz. bottle: Pours a clear amber color with a thin off white head that disappears half way through. Hoppy aroma has hints of floral and citrus. Sweet malty flavor is spicy and hoppy that finishes dry and bitter. Very drinkable without overpowering hops. Refreshing!

A beautiful hazy red-amber with a decent off-white head that lasts and leaves lace. The aroma is vague hops, but with the definite roasty notes of caramel malt. The flavor is much of the same, a spicy hoppiness to it but I’d say the maltiness is even more prevalent. The finish is dry and bitter, but not perhaps as much as I would expect. All in all it’s good stuff but doesn’t live up to it’s name. Wouldn’t even be mislabeled as an American "amber ale."
