One thing for sure, it’s quite drinkable! Just an all around good IPA nothing over the top but nothing lacking. Will be stocking up on these for sure. dimenhetfield (220), , Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Nice and hoppy. Not too dry and not too bitter either. Pours a darkish red color, with very little foam around the rim of the glass. Has spicy notes to it as well. MaltDawg (810), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 5, 2009 12 oz bottle from 2007 hiding out in the back of the fridge….but I found it and now it has met its demise. Malty caramel and caramelized sugar notes with bit of spicy hop notes but not a lot left. Clear deep copper color with small white head. Caramel sweetness in flavor with hefty bitterness to balance. Some tea like hop flavors remaining but not a lot of hop flavor. Finish dries quickly with big residual bitterness. Will have to acquire a fresh bottle and rerate. stobbe74 (714), Denmark

The flavor is hops with citrus. The palate is bitter. Overall a really good beer. bsp77 (202), Minnesota, USA

Clear, rich amber with thin head and light lacing.
Aroma of citrus and sweet toasted malts. While many IPAs smell this way, this one retains its smell much better than most. Some spiciness as well.
Tastes similar to smell - citrus and slightly sweet toasted malt. Spicy and moderately bitter, especially at the end; almost makes the mouth tingle.
Low to moderate carbonation, with a medium, slightly smooth body. Finishes dry.
Very nice, everyday IPA, but definitely better than most.
HopDevil, Titan IPA and Centennial IPA are my IPA archetypes - they simply nail the style spot on, without doing anything out of the ordinary.
