The flavor has a nice malt backbone that transforms into a spicy, hoppy finish. This is quite different than other ipa’s. The color is much darker than most, and the hop presence is more on the spice side than citrus or pine. Different, yet good.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 16, 2009 An amber hop monster. Loads of citric hops: lemon, pine, orange and grape but the malts are present too - althoug weakly. Very bitter, and very potent!

The aroma is pleasant with hints of citrus and you can taste the citrus on the hops as well. Real well made and truly a balanced flavorful brew. weihenweizen (42), West Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2009 On Tap in Philly. Pours a deep amber color with little white head that disappears quickly and almost no lacing. I am not a IPA fan, but this one is pretty good. The taste is dominated by aromatic floral hops taste with a hint of hop bitterness. The taste is bold and this is the best IPA I have had, so I would have it again, but I wouldn’t seek this out. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Hazy orange color with a meium white head that disappears quickly and leaves little lacing.
Citrus nose with some banana and black pepper.
Immediate hops, but not overwhelming; nicely balanced.
Good body, more than most IPAs.
Decent brew, tasty enough to go back for more. loveToHop (1), Pharr, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 13, 2009 had a great time drinking this IPA. the hops just bits back like an IPA should. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Was served this at a Christmas party and was not offered a glass, therefore I can not comment very well on it’s aroma and appearance. The main things that stood out were the flavors of orange peel and the bitterness from the hops. A very enjoyable IPA. ksbeerkid (23), Emporia, Kansas, USA

Pours light amber color with little off white head that did not retain long. The Aroma is very soft, not much there maybe a little citrus. Then you take a drink and your hit with a spicy and bitter palate that is very delicious. Hops definitely abundant, and in a very good way. Glad to have this one Gmku (254), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
