Commercial Description:
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

Bottle from Slob Thanks!
Pours a rich, cloudy cola-brown with a frothy cream head. Aroma is thin and spikey, with hints of wheat, yeast, and malt. Flavor is a rush of pear, spice, and a bit of citrus/honey in the finish. Perhaps a smidgen of bubblegum in there as well. Palate slips along the tongue at a leisurely pace, sure, but what’s the hurry? I’m enjoying every sip of this one.

Bottle. Bubblegummy wheat, grainy hearty aroma. Red brown with a fizzy beige head. Tinny vegetable flavor, yuck. Seems I don’t like the weizenbock style so much?

Aroma is full of ripe fruit, much like a dubbel. Pours lighter than its kin (Aventinus), with a moderate but quickly disappearing head. Flavor is mostly tart apple, with the expected bock sweetness. Finish is surprisingly dry, with the wheat left on your tongue.

As the name would suggest, this is the bastard child of a doppelbock and a weissbeer. Pours amber. Combines the best aroma and flavor elements of wheat beers and doppelbock- aromas include citrus, yogurt, and alcohol. Slightly sweet, slighlty bitter. Now if only this stuff was available year-round...

I like this beer. It has tons of fruit and citrus character. Also pours a huge malty head. Incredibly smooth and it is a 8.7 wheat beer. COOL!

12oz bottle shared by joshuaB. Pours a hazy orange color with a white receeding head. Nose is lemony, bananay, fresh and sweet malt. Flavors of banana, more lemon, some bubblegum, more fresh outdoorsy very clean flavors. Finishes lightly bitter.
