Pours a rich, cloudy cola-brown with a frothy cream head. Aroma is thin and spikey, with hints of wheat, yeast, and malt. Flavor is a rush of pear, spice, and a bit of citrus/honey in the finish. Perhaps a smidgen of bubblegum in there as well. Palate slips along the tongue at a leisurely pace, sure, but what’s the hurry? I’m enjoying every sip of this one. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 15, 2006 Bottle. Bubblegummy wheat, grainy hearty aroma. Red brown with a fizzy beige head. Tinny vegetable flavor, yuck. Seems I don’t like the weizenbock style so much? skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 13, 2006 Aroma is full of ripe fruit, much like a dubbel. Pours lighter than its kin (Aventinus), with a moderate but quickly disappearing head. Flavor is mostly tart apple, with the expected bock sweetness. Finish is surprisingly dry, with the wheat left on your tongue. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours amber. Combines the best aroma and flavor elements of wheat beers and doppelbock- aromas include citrus, yogurt, and alcohol. Slightly sweet, slighlty bitter. Now if only this stuff was available year-round... CMUBEERMAN (415), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
