Oct 24, 2005 LvBrewfest. A nice wheat and spicy aroma. Pour was a clouded orange. Flavor was fruit filled happiness, banana, orange and spices. Palate was surprisingly light considering the appearance. Overall I really liked it.

Oct 23, 2005 Big nose: wheat and berry, as well as clovey spices. Cloudy crap-brown with a tall foamy head. Cherry malt flavors, sugary sweet. With the wheat base, it’s like a cookir. Light spicey end. Silky smooth and heavy. Alcohol warms slightly going down, especially through the glass.

Oct 22, 2005 Excellent strong wheat brew. Muddy orange/brown in color. Long-lasting, frothy head is very appealing. Banana with orange spice and alcohol are the primary smells. Taste is a thinner version of forward aromas. Finishes a little alcoholy, but smooth. Very good fall brew.

Oct 22, 2005 Updated: Nov 29, 2005Delivered direct to my house from Downingtown, PA c/o my roommate’s very generous dad. Thanks!! Pours dark hazy amber with a mostly maintained tan head. Aroma of spicy yeast, banana, clove, oranges, caramel, and dark fruits. Taste is initially sweet with spicy clove, but finishes with fruity esters and mellow wheat. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lush carbonation. Despite still being a young beer (bottled 8-9-05), the alcohol has mellowed impressively after only two months of cellaring. A delightful nightcap beer. Quite delicious, but still a couple notches below Aventinus.

Oct 21, 2005 Another rock steady Victory offering. Caramel grainy taste with medium body. Surprising body considering the alcohol. There is a bitter apple spice component mixed in.

Oct 18, 2005 Appears a caramel color with a 1 finger off white head. Some spotty lacing is left behind.
Smell is of banana, wheat, caramel, and chocolate.
Taste is of the same aromas that has been watered down slightly.
Mouthfeel is fizzy, full bodied, and sweet.
Drinkability is good. I’m a big fan of the style and I like Victory’s version.

Oct 16, 2005 Sweet vinuous malty aroma, brown sugar, sour wheats and estery yeasty goodness. Decent aroma. Cloudy dark amber, small chunks on bottom, with thin foamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation, almost effervescent. Starts with decent wheaty sweet malt taste. Brown sugar, light caramel, medium floral bitterness. A bit watery, but once it warms it’s a pretty decent weizenbock.
