Commercial Description:
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

12oz bottle thanks to Pjones6738. Aroma was earthy, nutty with clove and banana. The clove spiciness really stands out. Darker orange in color, almost amber. Huge noisy/rocky head that diminshed in a few minutes. Sweet malt at first, then some of the spice comes through but the finish is burnt popcorn and toasted wheat. Medium body, creamy texture and I think the finish was dry, but I may have been thirsty.

Orange with a small off white head. Aroma is sour and yeasty with spices. The sourness in the aroma is not a pleasant one either. Flavor is sour, dry, and flat. Tastes quite wretched.

I’ve been looking forward to this one. Fiery, clouding orange/bronze with a booming foamy 4" head in my .5 L boot glass. Holy banana aroma with spices: pepper, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. Faint trace of tin as well. Flavor is sweeter than expected with fruity banana smoothie tastes leading the way. Sweet maple syrup over chocolate chip and banana pancakes. Such a refreshing beer. “Imperial Hefe” is a good description. We’re at 55 degrees and doing great. Pepper clove finish. Yum. This one went way too fast. If only Victory was distributed in Milwaukee. Thanks to tpkenned for the bottle!

had this one with the ramstein winter wheat and what a difference. Just pouring this one after the ramstein was shocking. much lighte color kind of a translucent orangish brown, with an off-white head, fruity spicy wheaty flavor, seems almost lighter malts than some dunkels I"ve had. not a bad beer, lighter than I expected but very drinkable. I do like the imperial hefe description that really seems to hit it on the head.

Bottle Pours a hazy deep orange/amber with littel off white head that dissapears quickly. Belgian yeast and light sweet malts are on the nose and not much hops. Flavor is much the same, with a more fruity character. Aples, appricots and bananas. A soft, slightly cloudy feel and a soft carbonation. The ABV is apparent but not out of line.

Bottle courtesy of BuckNaked in trade. Pours murky amber with little head. Aroma is strange smoky yeasty banana. Flavor has some banana, smoke, some kind of citrus, and I can’t get past this smoke still. Decent overall.
