Commercial Description:
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

Pours very nice and thick beige head with a cloudy light muddy brown body. Tons of things to smell in this beer: caramel, banana, citrus, and spice. Beer itself gave you a warm feel when drank. Very nice mouthfeel. Some sweetness. Wheat beer taste underlies the whole beer, but a lot more is loaded on top of that basic schematic. Alcohol well-contained, but at the same time noticeable in a good way. Tons of spice and mild hoppage.

Pours a hazy brown/amber with a 1-finger thick head. Has very nice lacing. Smells like wet straw, wheat, banana, and leather yet somehow inviting. The taste is strong spice and malt. There is some clove, caramel, and banana in there as well. The spice really lingers in the back of your throat. Mouthfeel is very much like a Bock and it has a slight alcohol warmth. This is actually a very well crafted beer.

Pours a dusky, semi-transparent brownish copper. Head was thin, but that was probably an artifact of how it was poured. Spicy, wheaty, slightly yeasty aroma is appealing. Wheaty and spicy flavor has hints of caramel. Texture is lively and tingly, making this pleasant to drink.

Murky amber with an off white with the carbonation allowing the head to linger. On nose I’m going to say it’s the spice cabinet combined with Juicy Fruit. Light medium on body with a warming mouthfeel. The finish is short and slightly biter.

12oz bottle. Gorgeously murky pour. Very nice, airy white head that lasts a while. Aroma of fruit esters and bubble gum. Really smooth going down, then the flavor of clover and banana’s become dominant rear their heads. Carbonation becomes obvious once you swallow the beer. Slight alcohol in the aftertaste. I like the slight tingle at the end compared to some of the creaminess of other beers in the genre. One of my new favorite weizen bocks

Pours a beautiful, dark amber with a big, creamy, tan head. THe nose is all bananas, cloves and white pepper. Just underneath is that nice earthy grain. Banana is the dominant taste, with the cloves and a nice creamy mouth feel. A little bit of Bananas Foster, in a good way.

12oz bottle. Deep amber color. Thick pour. White head of cream. Huge aroma of fruity esters. Huge ripened banana. Lots of sugars in the nose as well as a hint of clove. spicy pepper mouthfeel. Very smooth texture. A bit too carbonated. Lots of clove flavor. Sweet malted wheat. Cream of wheat hot cereal with over ripened slices of bananas on top. Very strong. Heavier bodied than what was expected.
