Commercial Description:
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

12oz bottle poured into a weizen glass. This is very nice looking dark orange, decent rocky head, looks great. Smells very fruity, spicy and malty. Taste is nice fruit and malt, surprisingly good stuff. This is one of the better beers that I have had from Victory. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-26-2008 22:14:34

nice hazy deep caramel color with a thick foamy light tan head. aroma is lightly spicy...clove... with a hint of banana but too much alcohol in the aroma. flavor used to be so much better but this is over hopped for the style, under spicy, and muddled. something in the flavor reminds me of fish. mouthfeel is a bit thin and the fishy flavor lingers in the aftertaste. what happened to the moonglow that i had years ago?

Huge what aroma and flavor with grapefruit and banana esters. Nice color and finish this was a decent beer I was not impressed with the finish as it was a tad tart.

A pleroma of flavors leap out everywhere in this drink. Sweet tropical fruit notes with various spices and other sweet fruits components. Chewy caramel malt backbone with great spicy yeast character.

Pours reddish amber with a fizzy tan head. The aroma has thick candied bananas, spice, brown sugar, toffee, caramel, cloves and chewy wheat. Medium / thick body with an over-abundance of carbonation. The flavor starts with much of what’s on the aroma with some medicinal sour traits. The finish is quite spice and gets more dry. A good beer, but not at the top of the style.

Draft: Poured an orange color with not much head. The aroma was dark fruits and malts. The flavor was raisins, grapes, sugar, and sweet malts. Overall, an excellent beer that I can’t wait for next year to get more.

12 oz bottle from a 6pack from EZ Liquors. Pours a solid brown orange with an average size foamy beige head that leaves less traces then a mafia money launderer. Aroma is all sweetness with notes of raisin, toffee, caramel, sugar, plastic modeling glue, vinous grapes. Palate is very full from the foaminess of the beer as it hits your mouth with a suprrisingly averge finish that is neither dry nor sweet. Add in some lively carbonation and this is one rather full bodied beer. Flavor starts off with some initial sweetness, raisin, dark fruit juice,..but then the wheat body kicks in with some grassy and wheaty notes finsihed off with uncooked brown bread, and some raw rum raisin bread dough. Average to slightly above but this isn’t knoicking down my doors like some other PA beers.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a rocky head. Lots of dry fruit aroma and nice spice character. I don’t find banana in here. A little sweeter than I like but very tasty.
