Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 19, 2004 A clear red beer with a yellow or orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of oranges and alcohol. The flavor is rather sweet with a lot of hops, oranges, and caramel. The hops burns your palate because it is extremely hoppy. A great beer for me - but only for hop lovers. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 7, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel. Very solid and full-bodied with plenty of caramel and notes of overripe fruit. Hoppy - but not overly so - finish. 031206 omhper (12154), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 3, 2002 Red-brown, bitter, vinuos and complex.
Typical American style barleywine. Delicious. yespr (11644), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 18, 2009 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight alcohol from the barley wine. Smooth fruity and dark rich malty flavoured. Smooth mouthfeel. Bitter and nicely fruity flavoured. A bit young yet also lovely fresh flavoured. Bitter and fruity hoppy finish. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jul 9, 2009 Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home. [ Trade by VikingHammer ]. Clear medium red amber orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange, alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20090605] oh6gdx (8802), Vasa, Finland Apr 7, 2007 Bottled (bottled 29.12.2004, thanks heemer77!). Nutbrown colour with beige small head. Leaves lace. Aroma is toffee, caramel malts, some spices and a bit of alcohol. Flavour is spicy, fruity, slightly yeasty and some caramel malts. The alcohol is hidden oh-so-well, it just shows as a bit warming feeling while drinking. In the aftertaste the alcohol gives a nice sticking feeling on the tongue, while the flavour is flowery hops and some toffee. A very wellbalanced beer! joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 4, 2006 Bottle.

bottle aroma is much more earthy than draft with the fruityness taking the back seat,
earthy bitterness also rules the flavor, touch of caramel sweetness in the background,
will take years to equal the draft version,
