Commercial Description:
Luxuriously rich in character, this warming winter ale delivers over 10% alcohol in an oh-so-seductive manner. Deliciously fruity flavors lie under a bracing hop nose.

Bright red-orange. Beige head w/ fine, wispy bubbles. Intensely hoppy aroma--citrus, pine, & fresh dew--w/ lovely malt undertones & alcohol spiciness. Feel is thick, oily, sticky & resiny. Complex flavour that is fruity, malty, & brilliantly hoppy. Very long, bitter finish. My kind of beer!

Loads of sweet candy like malts in the aroma, lots of caramel, some maple syrup, sweet liquor, a nice spicy, earthy and quite dusty hoppyness to balance out the massive sweetness. Dark crimson body with a creamy and fat off-white head. Flavor starts out with a massive chewy maltyness, lots of caramel, good sweetness with some various fruits, oranges, grapes and plums. Light bitterness in the end to balance it all out, leaves the mouth a little dry. A nice touch of alcohol.

Bottle. Pours an amber color w/ light tan head. Some hazyness and light sediment. Nose is light caramel, but something very sweet and almost fruity is hidden in here, some sort of berry. Taste is very bready, doughy and malty. SOme light fruit apparent here as well.

Pours a caramel brown color with frothy, off-white head. The aroma is comprised of a nice balance of hops and malt. A nice fruitiness to go with the caramel and toffee. The finish has a nice hop crispness that is not overbearing and actually quite nice. A little sweet and a little bitter, a pleasantly balanced beer. I'm happy to have finally found it.

This brew pours amber w/ raspberry tones. The froth produced is minimal and the lacing is almost non existant. Aroma is weak beholding meaty malts and aged hops. Full nectar w/ creamy residual effers. But ofcoarse, it’s a barley wine, it’s supposed to be sweet. Theres a killer hop component that digs in early and sticks like a Detroit white out on 75 North bound near Pine Knob. This would stop most people cold in their tracks but I am a warrior of Viking descent. We sacked Rome and I’ll sack this brew. A full Nelson and two knuckle sandwiches later this brew goes down screaming. The bittering component is on the peachpit side and it cuts deep. It’s very English in style with it’s refined nature but those hops. The finish is bittered like a scorned grandma that only allows a controled amount of sweetness to residulate itself.

07 12 oz bottle courtesy sleepylopes. Dark brown reddish pour with a thick tan head. Malty caramel aroma with slightly fruity hops. Thick creamy body. Malty creamy taste with an explosive bitter hop bite. Leaves a malty bitter aftertaste. Very tasty, bu would be nice with a little aging.

12 oz bottle from Sam’s Wine and Spirits. Pours a clear ruby amber with a tan head. Malty nose red fruit, citrus, and pine hops. Sweet and fruity malt flavors apples, berries, pine, grapefruit, some bitterness. Smooth and slick with a full body. The alcohol is a little too present making it a little cough syruppy, but overall a good beer.

nice red amber color, very very small head, nice lacing, and retention. aroma is lots of floral hops, and some really nice caramel and ripe fruit. flavor is very much hops, and caramel, very mellow, but strong at the same time. quite bitter in the end, alcohol is present, but not too much, very nice barley wine.
