Aug 21, 2007 Had it in a bottle at home. THANK GOD! If I was anywhere else I would have been in trouble! Very strong in both alcohol content and sweet flavor. Lingers in the mouth and becomes more appealing with every sip. Definitely can put you to sleep on the Old Mattress, as my girlfriend refers to it. Outstanding. Victory Rules!

Oct 23, 2007 LOVED this beer. I would say it was one of my favorite Barley wines I have ever tasted. Very smooth and a hint of fruitiness in there somewhere.

Oct 18, 2008 I was floored by this. It’s been in and out of my fridge from roommates and visitors but never sat down and tried it till tonight. Bottle from Lone Hill. The aroma is very full, caramelized, roasty. The flavors, though, shapeshift and dance like it’s three beers at once! Melon, butter, dark raisins, wood, smoke, age and goodness. Man, what a complex, delightful, smooth-drinking beer.

Apr 4, 2008 Love it. Probably my favorite Victory beer. Fruity, smooth, sweet but not as much as some barley wines. Overall a great find. I’ll have it again and again.

May 1, 2008 Updated: Aug 13, 2008Reddish-mahogany color, small yellowish-white head, oily texture. It smells like a hoppy spring morning mixed with toast, loads of burnt sugar, and slight alcohol and caramel. The flavor starts of with bitter hops, but continues with alcohol and huge malts, dark fruit, and alcohol as it warms. This is a fantastic barley wine, both times I’ve had this.

Mar 10, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pleasantly suprised by this beer. Not the normal barlywine flavor. The malts cover the 11% alc. very nicely but not too much.

May 28, 2004 Updated: May 30, 2004One hell of a great barleywine. Pours a nice darker amber color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is very malty, hints of carmel and maybe fruit. Taste is very sweet and malty, with only a slightly alcohol taste left afterwards. Boooyeta.
