Pint glass, beer was on ice for several hours, hot/humid day. I had it with tacos with a smoke jalapeno sauce. Very clear yellow/pale color and a a finish to match. Aroma is dominated by citrus and pine - excellent. May be slightly over carbonated and a little thin but I’m reaching because this beer is very very good. It may be the best pils I have ever had. Anyway, nice hop aroma and flavor but very little bitterness. Wonderful pilsener and perfect summer brew that goes down really easy. Its a light easy drinking pils thats great with food. Like the beer equivalent of a fine dry chardonnay.

This is by far the best pilsner I’ve had.... but too bad pilsners are lame. I mean, I hate to be a negative nancy here, but this beer was still just.... eh. It was good to drink while I was doing other things and too distracted to drink amazing beer. A fine brew, don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t like the style itself.

Clear straw yellow and transparent. Nice and crisp. Plenty of hops to be found in this beer. Bitterness on the finish was really right on. Good stuff. On tap at Woody’s Smokes on Brews.

Bottle. Pours light golden, with a medium white head. Aroma is clean noble hops, light malts. Flavor is much the same. Very clean taste, nice light spice through the hop/malt balance. Slightly bitter, just right. I love this one.

On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 3rd July 09. Bright gold. Strong pilsner aroma. Decent enough flavour but a bit harsh.

Pours a fading white head with a clear straw colored body. Smells of grassy hops and some malt. Flavor is the same. Clean.

Pours from the 12 oz. bottle like oh so many beers i’ve had before: golden yellow color, one finger head, fizzy, active carbonation...yada yada yada. The difference is in the aroma, though. As the head settles into a medium-heavy collar, an aroma like that of no other fizzy pale lager arises from the glass. Wait, that smells like hops! It IS hops, an abundance of ’em!! Citrusy (lemon) hops to be exact. Saaz? I think so. Ist sip has an initial hint of malt sweetness followed by those citrusy, slightly metallic hops. It’s a bold, powerful flavor that gets more intense on the swallow & lasts long after. There is active carbonation on the tongue and a medium-light, crisp finish. So THIS is what all those BMC pilsner wanna be imposters are supposed to taste like, huh? Man, the difference is like night & day!! Drinkable? Hell yeah...all day & well into the night!! Bravo to Victory Brewing !!! Tell the big boys in St. Louis & Milwaukee that THIS is what REAL beer should be like!!!

Bottle, 12oz, at Copenhagen Beer Festival. A clear, almost golden beer with a decent white head. Lovely nose with citrusy hops doing most of the job, but supported by pale malts. Fine flavor of citrusy, piney hops blending with the pale malts that add some sweetness. Fine bitterness too, with a lasting finish. Nicely carbonated, medium body and rather dry. A lovely pils, giving the finger to Scandinavian pilsners. (Or "pilsners"). (090516)
