SilkTork (4151), Rochester, Kent, England Jun 2, 2009 355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. What a difference a good dose of hops can make to a pale lager. This is full of flavour - firm and tangy without being aggressive, leaving a healthy English hop bitterness unusual for a lager. The hop impact is such that it feels immediately American, even though the ingredients are all European. This is a modern brewing approach to traditional ingredients and methods, and it works well. A very drinkable and attractive brew. skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands May 31, 2009 Bottle @ København Ølfestival 2009. Aroma has is well hopped with grassy hops. Little hint of sourness there. Hazy, yellow coloured beer with a white head. The taste is bitter and well hopped. Quality ingredients. Very good pilsener. mike67 (73), , New Jersey, USA May 30, 2009 On tap. Golden in color with a nice head. Aroma is light of grassy hops. Very dry. Earthy hops dominate the flavor from the beginning. Long dry finish. Well, I’m just not a pilsner lover. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark May 27, 2009 Bottle at KØ09. OK hop aroma, weakly citric. Clear golden colour. Distinct bitterness, slightly rough and quite clean. Apart from the bitterness, it is slightly boring. faroeviking (6016), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands May 26, 2009 Botella. Golden colour. Sweet hoppy flowery aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a pleasant bitterness with pine, fruits, good maltiness, caramel and a dry bitter finish. Refreshing pils. wheninhell (485), louisville, Kentucky, USA May 25, 2009 Clear light yellow with a lasting white head. Good lacing. Grassy hay aroma with light biscuit notes. Dry grassy flavor with a nice sweet/dry buicuit background. Light body lively carbonation. Dry bitter grassy finish. Solid pilsner.
cprochak (388), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 22, 2009 Bottle from Bottleworks. Pours light gold with a very bubbly white head. Mild sweet aroma hinting of fruit. The taste is simply bitter with no balance. Feels oily in the mouth and incredibly fizzy. A disappointment from Victory, but again, Pilsner is not my style.
