Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

12 oz bottle. The aroma on this is decent, but not overly impressive, very grassy, light citrus, and a good amount of mellow grains. Pretty pour for a pilsner with a medium starch white frothy head, decent carbonation, and a translucent golden yellow color. Right away in the taste, there a nice basic citrus bitterness, that gives way to the expected crisp grassy hop. Mellow grain malt is more interesting and sweet than most of its kind with a little bit of corn and honey. Nice feel, not too watery, quite crisp, with a good finish that brings everything together well. There are a few subtle things about this pilsner that make it fairly special for the style. Would be a go-to beer in the hot sun of the summer.

(11/13/08) Bottle at friends’ house in Philadelphia. Slightly hazy golden color with a quickly-diminishing medium white head. Aroma of some grassy hops and lots of graininess. Sweetish flavor with some malt, graininess and a bitter finish with rather grassy hops. Medium-bodied. Not awful but nothing great.

Bottle. Poured pale gold with a flocculent white head that looked like ice cream in a rootbeer float. Aroma was citirc, soapy, honey, pilsner malt-cereal. Flavor was sweet cereal, honey, pilsner malt, and resinous soapy bitterness that lasted on the tongue. Palate was light and had a nice carbonated bite that finished resinous. Certainly hoppier than most pilsners however the cereal and malt profile was unfortunately reminiscent of a macro.

12oz. right from the bottle. Flavor is hops, citrus, and something like corn. Not a big fan of this one. Watery and not balanced flavors.

aroma of lightened cereal grain and a citric note that is refreshing even before tasting. appearance is standard for the style: sunshine yellow. flavor is of an excellent dose of almost sweet hops and lemonly lager yeast. palate is not dry, the lemony prescence hangs around for some time. keeps the refreshing experience intact with some of the hop complexities rarely seen in the style.

Appearance: Clear, yellow body topped by a foamy, white head that supplied clear-cut rings of lace on our way to the bottom. Smell: Aroma smelling of grainy pils malt, moist discarded lemon rinds, and fragrant, spicy hops. Taste: Grainy tasting pilsner malts with a light honeyish sweetness. Hint of lemon. Richly floral and spicy noble hops with an ingratiating medium amount bitterness. Finishes dry and quite crisp. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: Keenly drinkable. One of the better American-corn pilsners around.

Pours clear golden, with a puffy white, 2.5 finger head, good lasting lacing. Smells of apple, caramel, citrus and some light floral notes. Light, crisp body, just a little dry. Has a strong grapefruit flavor, with some caramel and apple. Medium bitter grapefruit aftertaste that lasts for some time.
