jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle, Nice light malt aromas a touch of spice, a bit of hops. Nice very nice taste, slight sweetness, bitter initial taste, tons of carbonation, a bit more complexity and texture than any pilsener I have had. Very enjoyable. JCastner (102), New York, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pours a light straw with a strong head. Aroma is of the mildly grassy Saaz with hints of bready pilsener malt. Refreshing but lacked the crispness and lingering iron-mineral like finish of better examples. This isn’t the easiest style to produce. So hats off to Victory for a fine effort. PolakPorter (82), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 31, 2008 Quality to be sure. Pushes the pils to the limit. Not exactly what I was expecting considering the high rating. Hops are grassy and subtle. Not over the top at all. Taste is light yet satisfying. This did not take long to drink, 5 or 10 minutes or so. Quite quaffable. Not a ber that I would ever seek out, but may try again when I’m older and have diminished taste buds. Overall, great for a lager, but just not my style. Doesn’t compare to a good hoppy ale. Beerlando (2283), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 27, 2008 The body is lightly hazy and yellowish-gold in color. A small, foamy, eggshell colored head leaves soapy flares of lacing on the glass. Aromas include a delicate and clean malt base of lightly toasted bread, doughy yeast, and hints of cream. A fresh, grassy hop billing is substantial for the style, and hints of lemon rind lend a bright citrus spark. Flavors are equally impressive. The soft, toasty malts are balanced perfectly by the fresh, sharp grassy notes. Medium bodied and perfectly carbonated, the mouthfeel is smooth, finishing on the dry side. This is a damn fine, thirst quenching pils. Simple and sophisticated. Steinface (77), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 27, 2008 Pours golden with a quick fading white head. A much more full pilsner. Slow drinking, but very nice. dlovell2 (136), Columbia, Maryland, USA Aug 26, 2008 Golden color with white head. Crisp Floral Hops aroma. Pine hops taste. Not the best product from Victory. Capa (952), Yokosuka, Japan Aug 25, 2008 Pretty strong crisp, floral notes in this pils. A bit fuller than I prefer in this style which makes it a bit tougher to drink, but the hops and malts all come together very well. I wouldn’t reach for this if I wanted a pilsener, but I’d still pick it up again. matt7215 (942), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 12 oz bottle from premier gourmet. pours hazy golden with a nice white head. aromas are grainy malts and faded hops. the flavours are similar but the hops come through near the end. very nice pils but i think mine was a little past its prime. id love to try a fresh tap sample. id buy this if local.
