| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 18, 2008 12 oz bottle from Grapevine in Fort Mill, SC. Poured into a pilsener glass a somewhat hazy gold color with a two finger white head. Lacing was minimal. Aroma was floral...very appealing. Flavor was bready with a generous bitter hop bite on the end. Body was rather light, with medium-high carbonation. I agree with some of the previous reviewers that this beer probably isn’t representative of the style. I am rating this beer in a general case. I would classify more as some kind of Pale. Great beer though. buzzoven (333), Japan
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Bright glowing golden colour with a bubbly, sudsy head. Grassy aroma with some melon and honeydew notes. Mouthfeel is smooth and crisp with a strong dryness in the finish. Balance is very nice and easily drinkable. I could see this as a good "bridge" beer for the uninitiated. DuffMan (2737), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Hazy orange-gold, towering white head. Very hoppy aroma, floral and resinous, beautiful! Generous quantities of malt and hops fill the palate. A very well-crafted pilsener, and absolutely delicious! Baumgartner (108), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2008 Bottle poured to glass. Pours bright yello with a fine haze and a small white, rocky head. Lighty toasted pale malt grain aroma and flavor. Crisp hops to the nose. Slightly sweet and acidic taste with quick mellow bitter after. FlssmrBrewAlum (1111), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2008 12 oz bottle from John’s Grocery (Iowa City, IA). Pours a very light yellowish hue with a decent white bubbly head that quickly dissipates. Aromas are slightly of pilsner malt and light hop notes. Taste is similar, some "stinky bread" malts as I like to call them balanced well by some spicy bitter hops. Refreshing and quenching, but just as good as any other brew of the style that receives considerably lower ratings than this bad boy. Overrated for sure. Still, I’d drink it again and it was a decent beer mabel (2590), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Clear, yellow orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some centralized bubbles. Grainy straw flavour is a little watery. Medium body has some astringency. Average, drinkable. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 8, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma of hops and malt. Pours a bright yellow with a large white head. Flavor is pilsener all the way, with a hopsy bite that shades it much closer to a Bohemian than a typical German style. The malt under-layer provides some complexity and balance. The finish is lengthy, with just the right touch of bitterness. Excellent and refreshing. Pure drinkability.
