Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.

Brings back memories of my visit to Germany. This beer is a very good representation of a true German pils. Very fresh Spalt and sazz flavor. Yellow straw color and a nice brussels lace. If you are looking for a stronger hop profile with these hops try HOP IT by Urthel or Golden Promise by DogFish Head (Formerly Golden Showers)

(Sample from July 18, 2008 Beer Club Meeting) Super light pale yellow color. Aroma... like rubber gloves? What the heck? Taste is skunky and yet interesting. Light, though. Very floral, not as hoppy as I expected. Tastes almost like I’m licking surgical soap, but it’s still good if that makes any sense.

12 oz. Bottle. Classic golden yellow in color with a quickly dissipating white head. Nose is full of the Noble hop varieties with a bit of a spicy aroma. The flavor has a sharp bitterness and a bit of a grassy hop taste. The malt is present, but subtle with a mild sweetness that takes the edge off the hops. Body is about right for a pils, maybe a little thin behind all the hops. Finish is crisp with a lasting dry bite. Not my favorite style of beer, but it works great for Virginia during the muggy months of summer.

Well folks, I won’t call it heaps of hops but they are there. Bottle pours a nice yellow gold with asticky lacing and a quickly diminishing head. Body is malts covered by hops but not by much. Refreshing and hoppy. Easy drinking. A solid product from Victory.

hops. Some hops. Some more hops. I was impressed with the amount of flavor in this for a pils, but the rest I found lacking at the time. Early rating so will have to re-rate.

pours super clear pale yellow with an eager but fading head. Primary taste and aroma is floral bitter hops, mouthfeel has a little honey like creaminess to it but not enough of a backing for my taste.

Bottle. I haven’t had too much experience with high quality lagers, but I’ve been looking for more pilsners to try. I really enjoy this pilsner. A nice, golden lager with a hoppy lagerish flavor and a crisp finish. A nice session beer that almost anyone can appreciate.

Bottle and I feel like I’m repeating myself but its once again impressive. Malt is balanced very well with hops on the nose. Very short sweetness followed by a long bitterness. Very smooth and drinkable. This brewery consistently rises on my list.
