Aroma is that of your standard euopean mainstream lager (bready malty pilsner) with a little more spicy hops on top, but the flavor packs more of a punch: malt up front, followed by spicy noble hops, finishing with hop bitterness that lingers. Good lager! PHotchkiss (10), East Lansing, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 21, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours clear yellow, thin and short lived white head. Smell is mostly skunky, with an underlying scent of hops. Taste is no different - immediate skunk, but if held in the mouth goes to an almost pleasant bitter and has a hoppy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a bit thicker than other pilsners, and almost has a slight syrupy consistency. A very average tasting pilsner which I would have no problem passing up again. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 13, 2008 Serving from a 12 ounce bottle. Appearance- very pale straw colour with a slight haze. Head comes and goes quickly. Nose- grassy spicy hops. Taste- quite spicy in the front end, which quickly dries out into an aspirin like bitterness in the finish. Malt is very clean- a little bready. Carbonation is medium. Its tasty- just seems too harsh for this delicate style. Scauca (409), Lovere, Italy

It was better than normal, but not above. It smelled of some like hops and it tasted like every pilsener I’ve ever had that didn’t taste like asshole.
