But it’s really just ok. Pours crystal clear medium gold with a fluffy, spritzy platinum blonde head. Settles quickly to just a smear. Plenty of attractive rising carb. Big skunky nose. Probably not their fault, but there’s very little left here in the way of hop aroma. Medium/light watery body, lots of artichokes and skunk on the mid-palate. There’s a little bit of hay and biscuit in there as well to show it’s not completely broken, but this beer is really not ready for prime time. Lothore (276), California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- Yellow in color with a nice frothy head that sticks around for quite a while. Looks very carbonated.
S- Smell is not too expressive but definitely malt forward with some hops.
T- Tastes sweet and malty but definitely has a hop kick for a pilsener. Very smooth and tasty.
M- Mouthfeel is very carbonated (perhaps a bit too much) and medium bodied. The carbonation, while somewhat overkill did add to the light smoothness.
D- This is sublimely drinkable. It melds a lighter pilsener style beer with a flavor that is so well balanced and smooth it makes you want more and more. jeremytoni (1089), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Golden with tiny bubbles ascending, and an extremely clean grassy aroma. Prickly crystaline hops on a medium-bitter mouthfeel lets you know it’s an American. Sharp and green at first with a smooth tail at the end. Decent. The Storm King and the ’Monkey still rule their roost in my book. rman18 (201), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 22, 2008 THIS is the ultimate summer thirst quencher. I call it my gatorade with a buzz. Pour light golden yellow with a small white head. Beautiful aroma of fruity, well picked hops. Taste of hops isn’t as strong as the aroma which makes this an easy to drink beer. Another good beer by Victory! mcc5468 (103), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured slightly hazy. Aroma of hops. Dry and slightly crisp. I just returned from Germany so maybe I was a little spoiled but I expected more from this beer. It was good but not as great as I had heard. maybrick350 (4), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Apr 22, 2008 I’ve been drinking this pils for years. I agree with the NY Times panel abbout being the best pils in the world. It’s always consistent, great dry finish. Subtle malt notes and just a great crowd pleaser. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear, light-yellow amber with a white head. Magc_Dave doesn’t know shit about beer. Of course we already knew that. This is a very fine example of the pilsner style. This has a pilsner hops are prevalent with grass and some scent of lemon. Taste is grassy hops and lemon. Mouthfeel is very crisp, clean and refreshing with some carbonation and a slight bitter finish. Very good beer for a summer day, especially after working in the yard.
