verymerrymonk (255), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 16, 2008 Pours a clear yellow body with a thin white head. Sweet-ish up front with a finish of grassy hops. Good lawnmower beer. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Apr 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear light yellow color with a huge white head. Aroma of malts, hops and citrus. Has light skunky smell. hapjydeuce (763), Del Mar, California, USA Apr 15, 2008 Bottled shared with J at PP Bottle Shop. One of the best damn Pilseners I’ve ever had. Lots of straight up hoppy goodness for this type of brew, crisp and refreshing. It has a nice lingering citrus character after each sip, just a pleasing session brew all round. jarspag (593), Los Angeles, California, USA Apr 14, 2008 At PP bottle shop w/ J. A nice thirst quenching, hop forward pils with notes of grass, citrus, hay. This is far from my favorite styles - but this one delivered. Very enjoyable for a sunny day... spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Apr 13, 2008 Pours golden color with small white head and good lacing.
Aroma is floral and hops.
Flavor is strong fresh resininous hops and light malts.
Palate is good for the type.
Overall a crisp, refreshing brew. Would not have guessed this was a pilsner if it wasn’t labelled as such. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Apr 11, 2008 Another long-overdue rating in the form of a staple that somehow just never got entered. When you are looking for microbrewed lagers, PA is THE PLACE, with a number of great brewers (such as Victory, Stoudts, Troegs) that are true to the German style. Love this beer. docsteigs (139), USA Apr 8, 2008 Nice yellow pours with white head, thick with some protein shells. Smells crisp, hoppy. Taste surpising citrus a la cascade/amarillo but spicy as well; smooth with many lager characteristics present at the same time; mysterious, hard to define, identity crisis’d (I’m not sure); but a good brew from Victory goldmember (8), Great Falls, Montana, USA does not count Apr 8, 2008 Pours a pale yellow leaving a fluffy white head which settles into a lasting cap. Smells mostly of floral hops and sweet malts. Taste is citrus malt up front and bitter hops finishing it off. This is the hoppiest pils I’ve ever had. Very well balanced and definately a session beer.
