Hank1980 (734), Athens, Georgia, USA Apr 7, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with an average sized head, lacing through the pint. Nice of bittere citrus, spice, and some hop. Flavor is also lightly bitter and a little spiced. This pils is different because it doesn’t have the heavy grain profile that most pilsners do. It’s a well balanced brew with a nice bit of hops. Lightly bitter finish. Mouth is light.
pepperford (115), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Apr 5, 2008 Frothy white head on a clean pale yellow body. Crisp and a bit of grassy acidity from the hops. A good summer beer. joekfsu (138), Boardman, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear yellow with a massive amount of white foamy head that simmers down to a thin mostly lasting layer. Aroma of floral hops and a hint of sweet malts. Initial flavor is balanced between hops and malt. No other flavors come out distinctly. Aftertaste dominated by the hops and hint of spice as it drags on. Some lacing, moderate aftertaste, light body, and limited alcohol noted. Overall a nicely done beer when in the mood for something lighter and maybe a good starter beer for people not into the bigger beers. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Apr 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a bright golden yellow with medium white head. Aroma is of clean hops. Pretty damn hoppy for a pils. Dominated by grassy hops, but there is a slight malt background to balance. Great session beer. Davinci (295), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 2, 2008 On draft at Jerry’s. nice clear straw yellom pour with big white head. Classic pilsner malt in the nose, some floral and grassy hops. Flavor is more spicey and grassy hops with some subtle fruit. Very nice dry spicey finish. Great meal time beer. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Apr 1, 2008 From bottle : Pours a slightly hazy light yellow, with a very white foamy head, about 2 fingers tall, that sticks around for a few minutes. Nose of esters, and skunkyness, and some corn. Taste has a slight bit of fruit, but continues with the skunkyness from the nose, and the corn. Medium body, with a lively palate. Aftertaste is of corn again. I cant say that i care for this very much. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 1, 2008 Updated: Apr 4, 2008I usually avoid Pilsners, but a recent review of this brew in Draft Magazine had gotten me interested and I’m glad I picked up a bottle... Poured a straw, yellow tone with a thin white head. Fruity hops and esters on the nose. Dry and foamy palate and flavors of bread-like hops and malt with a nice crispness and balance. Other fruity flavors like apples and oranges. Victory really made a great Pilsener here. ShawnMalloy (119), Auburn, Massachusetts, USA Mar 30, 2008 Pours a light golden yellow. Body is light with a light mouthfeel. The skunky hop content is quite a bit of a surprise. One of the better light beers around.
