Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

(Bottle) I was disappointed with this one. This beer tasted a lot more to me like a poorly executed Pale Ale than a Pilsner...there was none of the grassy quality that good Czech pilsners have, and none of that clean, crispness that both German and Czech varities exhibit. Hoppier than typical for a Pils, and the malt is too heavy. Listiglovers below remarked "Seems like the bitterness of an IPA without the strong flavour, instead the flavour of a Pilsner."--I think he hit the nail on the head here. I think they need to work on this one if they want to really fit the style authentically--and also if they want to produce a truly quality brew.

Bottle served in a footed pilsner. Pale yellow (maybe a slight haze) in color with a large frothy white head. Nice. Aroma is hay and dough. Light body, but surprisingly full of hops. Finishes with a bitter applause. If I there was a brew apocalypse and only three beers were left in the world: Bud, Victory Pils, and Mirror Pond, I would choose the Pils.

355 ml bottle. From Germany (bierzwerg.de).
Hazy pale yellow/golden colour with small white head. Strong floral hoppy aroma. Floral grassy bitter hoppy flavour. Long bitter hoppy aftertaste. Good hoppy Pilsener.

Straw colored with a white foam head. Grassy hop aroma - Medium/Heavy carbonation - citrus flavors bring sweetness, but are well balanced by the hops giving it a slightly bitter finish.

On tap. Pours a pale yellow, little head that leaves quickly, and some lacing. The body is a little wattery, nice carbonation, and finishes dry. The taste is light floral hops, some lemon grass, and a hint of bitterness. Pretty good pilsner.

Thanks for the recommendation Mitch. A very soft aroma with hints of sunny lemons and hay. Beautiful colours that remind me of a hazy lemonade made with sparkling water. Nice hoppy bite with the addition of grassy hay, citrus fruits, bazooka bubblegum, and a nice dry finish. A little thin on the tongue, but a great thirst quencher. Much more drinkable than the fizzy water that Bud squeezes out of god knows what!

(12 ounce beer - pint glass) Pours a light yellow golden color. Light head but it still has a great thick lacing. Aroma is an equal balance of malt and hops. Citrus hops matched with a hay malt. Taste is more hops but it is not overpowering like alot of ipa’s I have had. Downside to that is the mouthfeel is a little watery. Lively carbonation, thin body and oily texture. Overall I think this will make a great session beer.
