A small, foamy, eggshell colored head leaves soapy flares of lacing on the glass. Aromas include a delicate and clean malt base of lightly toasted bread, doughy yeast, and hints of cream. A fresh, grassy hop billing is substantial for the style, and hints of lemon rind lend a bright citrus spark. Flavors are equally impressive. The soft, toasty malts are balanced perfectly by the fresh, sharp grassy notes. Medium bodied and perfectly carbonated, the mouthfeel is smooth, finishing on the dry side. This is a damn fine, thirst quenching pils. Simple and sophisticated. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 19, 2004 Bottled. Hazy golden colour with dense and lacy white head. Sweet hop aroma. Moderate to strong hopy flavour with a good bitter kick to it. Bitterness attacks the palate but in a nice way. drewbeerme (2305), Chicago, Illinois, USA

but this one is excellent. Great color & flavor. Victory beer is hard to find
here in So. Calif, but this one (along w/ all their others) is worth
seeking out. alexanderj (2271), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Pours a fairly clear gold; head was white, medium in size. Aroma is a little bit yeasty, earthy, some mild spice, and light hops. Refreshing, earthy flavor. Hops dominate the flavor; some light breadiness. Dry finish. Very good for style. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2006 Light yellow/straw color. Nicely carbonated. Nice foamy head with great retention. Delicate hop aroma with a very small hint of lemon. Good hop flavor with a fair amount of bitterness that starts at the beginning, continues through the finish, and then lingers on the back of the tongue. I think this is a pretty good pilsner - crisp, refreshing, good body, and some bitterness.
