| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2004 a very light golden color that held a very small head for a short time.
The aroma is quietly hoppy.
Thee beer carried a nice carbonation and had a bit of bite on the tounge.
The flavor is a crisp bitterness which is not surprising as even the smell contained the hoppy warning.
The flavor was rather refreshing but not overly suited to my own tastes Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2003 Nice golden color with a slight haze to it.small white head that faded very quickly leaving a slight lacing on the side of the glass.Malty, fruity aroma with a pretty decent hop presence. There is also an almost off aroma there as well hard to describe it,but it isn't the most pleasant. The flavor was great Mildly malty semi-sweet with a very strong hop presence,a mild lemony taste as well in this brew with the after taste being mostly bitter hops but a harsh bitterness but a quite pleasant one instead, with the brew finishing off with a semi-dry feel.IMO this is one hell of a good pils, probably the best I've ever had.Thnaks to Wawood for sending this bad boy. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Pours out a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is of hops and grainy malts. Surprisingly full-flavored, very hoppy, with nice malt character to it as well. Medium-bodied, long dry finish. This is a great Pilsener. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2002 Updated: Jul 19, 2005bottle-it has been 3 years since i had this beer. Well, i had to lower the ratings since this botte wasn’t that good really. pours a golden yellow hue with a foamy white head. Ohh no, this beer has diacytl. Since when did a victory beer have the big D? Its not overbearing, but its definately there. Some notes of bell pepper, malty sweetness, lemon and spicy german hops and yeast. Malty flavors with some notes of butter from the big D. long hoppy finish with lingering diacytl. Man, i have become very sensitive to that stuff. The body of this beer is one of the best in the style. full and rich! some nice herbal notes come out as it warms. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Sampled at Stone 9th Ann. party. Not bad for a pisner. Such a boring style to try and do something outstanding with. Seems that as soon as you do something great with it it turns into another style. Still tasty stuff and I would drink it anytime. hophead75 (1954), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
