Fresh grassy lemon zest aromas ride soft waves of peppered hay and honey bread. Crisp spicy peppered hop flavors balance well on a drying citric-grassy backbone. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, snappy bitter finish. A great summer refresher that to me is best in class... fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Such a boring style to try and do something outstanding with. Seems that as soon as you do something great with it it turns into another style. Still tasty stuff and I would drink it anytime. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Smell is more hops than a normal pilsner with some malts as well. Taste is clean and crisp with slight hops and finishes dry. BillKismet (1952), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jul 17, 2005 Blonde w. huge, fluffy head. Sharp, hop-oil pungence, w. hint of skunk. Overly hoppy, pine-needle flavor, again w. the appearance of skunk. Very bitter for a pils and rather unorthodox for the style. Nothing special. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2001 A very good classic pilsner. It’s crisp, clean, nad has a nice hoppiness, but it’s maybe a bit too crisp. I prefer a slightly more noticeable finish, and this one goes down just too clean. Still, very refreshing. mar (1940), Dallas, Texas, USA

The aroma is some fruits, some grass, and sugar. The flavor is some hoppy fruits, some grain. Some crackers and yeast come next, and then a medium-dry finish. Pretty refreshing.
