Flavor is a tad on the grainy side, sweet malt notes. Hops come back in the finish, an herbal bitter, and more grain. Very good pils! frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 5, 2005 Bottle poured an ultra-light, ginger-ale-yellow with an average sized, fast, white head. A skunky start faded quickly to mustiness over grainy malt aromas. A quick-drinker, this was thoroughly light & bitter with a mildly sweet finish. A damn fine beer to drink over a hot barbecue.

The palate is bitter and a tad crispy. iowaherkeye (1890), Los Angeles, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2007 355 ml. Crystal clear, pale golden with a medium sized, lasting head. Aroma is spicy honey, cereal grain, and grass. Flavor is honey on the front, slowly bittering to a grassy, lemon-herb, and very hoppy (for a pilsener) finish. Smooth body is thicker than most pils; maybe almost medium. Has all the same characteristic flavors of an industrial American pilsener, but the smooth body and taste of quality ingredients comes through anyway. This pilsener is to a BMC as a cheeseburger at your local grill is to a McDonalds.
