| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2003 Good pilsner. Sufficient maltiness, with pronounced hops, but certainly not too bitter or over the top. Has the classic pilsner smell to it. Sadly, it is a pilsner and is probably incapable of getting a high rating from me. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 13, 2004 Big frothy head over a clear golden body. Mucho carbonation. There's a big "pilsener" aroma that hits you when pouring. I can't get much malt out of the aroma, there's mostly just fruity, floral hops. It's very appetizing. The flavor has even more hops with perhaps a biscuity malt backbone. It's mostly big saaz hops. Green apples, caramel, and bitter leafiness. Dry, fizzy finish. This stuff has quite the hop burn to it, my tongue feels worn out from drinking it. I can appreciate the fact that this is sort of an Imperial Pilsener, but I'm just too used to more complex ales for this to be very interesting. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA
